I moved to Baltimore recently and Dr. Schmidt came highly recommended. I have been treated now by his office twice and have been pleased with the ease of becoming a new patient, their procedures, the hygienists, and of course Dr. Schmidt! I tend to normally get very nervous when going to the dentist, but everyone has been welcoming, patient and gentle, yet thorough. Dr. Schmidt's approach is easygoing and comforting, while professional with a high level of expertise. One other point: Kathy at the front desk has been easy to work with and has been helpful in answering my myriad of questions

Called them to book a new patient appointment and the receptionist was Slow, Rude and Unprofessional. Took all my details and in the end asked me if I was having any problems, when I told her yes, she tells me they don't have anything available until mid-December. When I told her she should have asked me that first we could have saved us some time, she's like you should have told me that first. Seriously? That was really rude.
On a side note, before calling her I tried to make an online appointment on their site and after filling out the form the site breaks and throws an error. Time

Dr. Schmidt takes care of my whole family. He is very thorough, explains what options of treatment are available and makes the whole visit easy. All staff are very pleasant and the dental hygienists are excellent. My kids cannot wait to see them every 6 months! And I never had to wait in waiting room for a long time. They are pretty punctual to see patients.

I was never one for the dentist, trauma as a kid! Dr. Shires and the whole team are just amazing, I will never go anywhere else! The care and concern is genuine and everyone makes sure you are comfortable and prepared for any dental work that needs to be done, easy or difficult! I recently got the privilege to finally meet, and begin using the excellent services of Dr. Shires and his amazing staff. My Daughter Kimberly, had told me how wonderful the practice was, and now I am too one of his patients! My first visit was amazing.I had a complete exam,that I have never had in my life. I love going to Dr. Shires & Dr. Schmidt's office. Every time they always provide full and thorough care and always make me feel comfortable. Sometimes I forget I'm at the dentist and really think I'm getting a mouth massage. Their dental hygienists are also great. I have recommended this practice to my friends and they also agree.
