Builders Cabinet was started by Charles Benner, a Metra Rail engineer and his childhood friend, John Anderson, a Chicago Firefighter in the Spring of 1986. They had a common goal, construct quality cabinetry, serve Chicago families, and build a business that could be passed on to a new generation. After many late nights and a lot of sweat, the company grew.
As time went on, their children joined the team and began working their way through college on the shop floor. Eventually, Charles bought out his partner and moved the business to Chicago. As the company grew, it became apparent that Charles' engineer job was slowing down growth. He needed help.

I can highly recommend Jonny and his team at Build My Kitchen. Nothing is to much trouble for them. There is an amazing show room to help you choose your ideal kitchen along with advise from the team who always respond quickly to your questions. They put together 3 or 4 designs and even just before insulation I added to the design. They kept us informed of progress all the way through the project and I never felt I was chasing. We also felt that we got value for money. I now have a fabulous kitchen. So glad we found them.

I worked with Jonny and Hilary over a 6-8 months period for initial quotes and design whilst my extension was in progress. There design service and expertise was invaluable with suggestions and inspiration on storage and design solution they even tweaked the design to disguise the waste stack once the build was underway.
The fitting service was great, they immediately addressed a damaged panel and had a new one on site in a day. I highly recommend build my kitchen for product quality and their design service and would happily use them again in the future.... although not planning on replacing

This is regarding a kitchen remodel. I reluctantly went ahead with the order due to time constraints. I'm paying the price now. I was not able to get any custom work/sizes done; they only provide stock sizes. I like slightly deeper utensil drawers and I knew I couldn't get them from this place and it's been a headache ever since. My fault - I should have gone with a custom provider that I used previously. Also, parts (were ordered) came that we did not need. We returned them but never got the credit that Greg promised. We used their quartz countertop supplier. Fit is perfect

I highly, highly recommend this company! I was turned onto Builder Cabinets by a suggestion from a friend who had worked with someone there previously. I met with Logan who is top notch when it comes to customer service. He sat down with my husband and I and we went over our options for maximizing our cabinet space.
