Former Circuit Court Judge Brenda S. Stedham has returned to the private practice of law and is now accepting clients with a variety of legal issues. Helping clients with their probate cases is one of the most rewarding parts of my job as an attorney.

I have over 35 years of experience in litigation and law office practice, and I've represented clients in all of the following areas: auto accidents, municipal law, business law, criminal law, hospital law, contracts, wills and estates, adoptions and domestic relations law, and many other kinds of cases.Service to others has been a driving factor in my life since I was a small child.

Holmes of the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. She is a past President and former Executive Committee member of the Calhoun-Cleburne Bar Association Board of Directors.

Brenda Stedham represented me for an adoption during the Covid period of 2020. Brenda was recommended to me by two professionals that I trust. She was friendly and professional from the first meeting to the last keeping me informed of the progress of the case through the delays of court closings and responses of other parties. Brenda met with me and the child to be adopted and was engaging with both of us. She was prepared from the first meeting to our day in court. I was impressed and would contact her again if needed.

Brenda Stedham is a very experienced lawyer. She gives sound advisement and is very fair. Depending on the details of the case, she will even connect clients to other legal representation that may be more appropriate and case issue specific.

Brenda Stedham is an excellent attorney with forty (40) years of experience. This experience is invaluable, as being one of her clients, I have been amazed by her because in my case I had many situations that I had to speak with Brenda. She always returns my calls in a timely manner. She files all the necessary paperwork in a timely manner also. With all of her many years of experience she knows what to expect from a case and she “hits the nail on the head”. Every time she told me what to expect, it came to be just like she told me. I am so happy she is representing me. I admire and respect

My husband and I recently had a will and other legal documents prepared by Brenda. She was very knowledgeable and extremely patient with answering all of our questions. Additionally, she is very personable, pleasant, and it was a joy getting to know her. We will return to Brenda if we need legal assistance in the future.

Was told at beginning of my case, normally if a parent objects to a minor child's last name being changed that the case is thrown out and the other parent is not awarded their wish. Not in my case...she wanted to hear my case and it was because my ex had a lawyer and I did not. Just weird practices if you ask me...Hopefully in the future this never happens again.
