Services
Russell's Auto Salon is the oldest, most experienced, auto body shop in Steamboat Springs. Originally opened as The Car Clinic in 1958 by Wayne Willis, Russell Drobney purchased the shop in 1976. You'll hear from most locals in the area that, if you want your car repaired right, Russell's is the place to go.
After a brief stint as an Ohio Buckeye at Ohio State University (he's still a huge fan), Phil made his move to Boulder in 1974 and began a career as an auto painter working for Continental Coach Rebuilders. Since then he has perfected and refined his skills, working across the country on every make and model available - Toyota, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Dodge, Audi, Ford, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Ferrari - you name it.
These guys are the MOST helpful people in Steamboat! I would take my car here any day. We were driving over Rabbit Ears Pass when an ice/snow chunk fell from a sign, shattered our windshield and dented the roof it hit so hard. The tow truck driver suggested Russell's and they got us back on the road within 18 hours.

I was stranded in Steamboat following an accident. Statefarm recommended Russell's Auto Salon. Phil and Terry were super friendly and were able to repair my car the same day. They even gave me a ride to where I needed to go while the car was being repaired. Best auto repair experience I've ever had.

Just wanted to share a quick story about Terry, the owner of Russell's Auto Salon. I haven't had any body work done on my car but can only say that I was stranded in the middle of nowhere with a broken clutch lever on my motorcycle. Terry was in the area and brought out the tools, ingenuity and willingness to help a guy stranded with no tools to fix my problem. I was back on the road an hour later and road for another 2 days with a FIXED clutch lever on dirt. Renewed faith in humanity and am still smiling from meeting Terry and his family!
