I have built everything along the way through my career: from houses, to stores, to remodeling a courthouse, pattern making for nuclear aircraft carriers and a submarine, parts for the famous Wright Flyer replica, historic window restoration, cannons, chicken coops, and yes of course my favorite, Furniture.
I started working with wood as a teenager in wood shop. After graduating high school, I worked as a merchant seaman. While on a tugboat in the Gulf of Mexico one of my fellow seaman showed me how to make countertops for the galley with some basic tools. I thought that was cool. When I moved back home to Williamsburg a friend of mine asked if I would help him make cabinets for his kitchen.

When we create the next piece of furniture, it is always a delight. We make choices that reflect the piece and the uniqueness of the client. Each craftsman personally chooses the wood, the color, grain, pattern and characteristics of the materials that comprise the completed project. The choices are limitless and making it all blend together is an important part of the what we do.
Turning Wood into transformed pieces on our shop lathe. Some turnings are upcycled from what would have been firewood or landfill. I might follow ads on Craigslist that say firewood or free trees. Sometimes I barter my wood for another craftsman's wood and get turning blanks that get transformed into something special.
We have worked on historic homes from Williamsburg, Farmville, Petersburg and into Richmond Va. Each project has been unique and the results have been beautiful. We specialize in paint, carpentry, and a mastery of skills that will preserve the integrity and add quality to your home. 2 over 2 windows, completely removed, dismantled, parts made and replaced, reassembled, re installed with new sash cord, fully operable, approx.

Jeff has completed a number of projects for my wife and myself; antique restorations, cabinete waxing, and a very special custom cherry platform for our large standing figurine. a "boy on a bike" (I am proud of this specific piece of Jeff's talent. I have used master carpenters for past project, all well done. However, Jett Tucker is in a class of his own, very creative and professional. If I could, I would have given Jeff a six star rating,
