The credit union was organized in 1942 so that the community of Cottonwood could save together and use the savings to provide fellow credit union members with low-cost loans, when needed.
After expanding our charter to cover low income areas and people without adequate access to credit union services, we now serve all of Idaho and Lewis Counties and have additional branches in Craigmont and Nezperce. Cottonwood Community Federal Credit Union offers membership to persons who live, regularly work, attend school, worship, or volunteer in Idaho or Lewis Counties.

Minimum payment is determined by amount of credit line, with a minimum payment of not less than $20.00 per month. Rates are subject to change without notice. We were approved through a home loan with a major mortgage lender but were waiting over a month for an appraisal. With no hope of closing anytime soon, we got tired of waiting and switched to the credit union. I'm so glad we did. They worked with our situation and we were able to close in 2 or 3 weeks. Customer service is top notch. They couldn't have made it easier for 1st time home buyers.
