Services
My care and experience at New Castle Nursing & Rehab have been overwhelmingly positive. The staff: nurses, nursing assistants, maintenance, dietary, housekeeping, and everyone else including the other residents have made my stay here enjoyable. The physical and occupational therapist that worked with me did an excellent job and their hard work will make my transition back to home easier than I could have expected.
We recommend visiting from 8 am until 8 pm, after that time we lock our doors as most residents are asleep. But you are welcome to visit 24 hours a day. Please call in advance for after-hours visits to ensure access. We strive to create social programs and individualized activities to match the capabilities and needs of each resident.
At New Castle Nursing & Rehab, we understand that the rehabilitation process can be difficult. We offer pet therapy, aromatherapy, and music therapy in order to lift spirits and ease the burdens of rehabilitation. We believe in focusing on all-around wellness, and we take care of our residents in order to help them attain their highest functional ability.
A positive and uplifting atmosphere can set the tone for a resident's stay. New Castle Nursing & Rehab employs outgoing and friendly professional staff to create social programs and activities. I am Anna Louise Edmondson, I recently was in New Castle for rehab. It was the best experience I have ever had at a rehab center. The staff from kitchen, housekeeping/laundry to the business office to the nursing staff where awesome. TOP NOTCH!!! I would recommend New Castle Nursing and Rehab to anybody. This is where I will always go for rehab.

Had my mother in law in for rehab. The staff where very nice. But the doctor was unfeeling and wouldn't listen about her condition. So i took her out and took her straight to her doctor who put her in the hospital. My recommendation is you got to put a love one in rehab are nursing home check out the doctor frist. The staff can only do so much if the doctor want listen

Nursing homes are always tough places to be, and if a person comes in for random 20 minute visits, I can see how people can think that the staff just "leaves people laying there." I spent three days sitting there as my father passed away, and I can assure you that the nurses and staff are always busily working. Thank you to Buffy, and Melinda, Ben, and Alex, and Rob and the others for you kind support, patience, and compassion. God bless you.
