Premium Shredded Hardwood Bark Mulch is a wholly organic horticultural ground cover manufactured from the bark of hardwood trees. The bark is sorted, screened, and mechanically shredded to medium fine consistency and aged to a rich chocolate brown color. Premium Shredded Hardwood Bark Mulch is an outstanding, highly versatile mulch designed for all landscape applications.
We are often asked "How much do I need?" By using the chart below as a guide, you will be able to determine just how much mulch you will need for a given area. As a decorative ground cover we recommend 2 to 3 inches to adequately cover the soil and smooth out any uneven areas. On average, you will need to mulch at least 1 to 2 inches per year to compensate for natural decomposition and give your landscape a fresh new look.
Your woodlot is a valuable asset. In addition to its timber, you must consider everything that it contains - wildlife habitat, water resources, opportunities for recreation and aesthetic values. Before you harvest, make sure your woodlot is protected. A well-managed woodlot should be considered an investment - for your own benefit today and as a legacy for future generations.
