It's much easier to show what I do than to talk about it. The galleries speak for themselves and prove that, together, we can create great-looking stuff. Don't see a particular style or subject here? Just ask - I've probably done that, too! I believe illustration should be appealing, professional, and - where business is concerned - USEFUL.

I am in business to delight my customers and help them grow their business. Not to win awards from critics. Illustrating the story of Taz, a real doggie whose "special needs" became real accomplishments. The Performing Arts Center needed larger-than-life imaginary creatures based on the hit Musical.

Here you will find an attempt to categorize many overlapping art and design projects. This is a FUN job, where we are always working on something new and different. The majority of the gallery items are customer-initiated projects, for business applications. Rather than creating in one "signature" style, my work has been as varied as my clients.
While I provide a range of graphic design services, freelance illustration has been my primary business and the reason for this web site. Most of the other pages and portfolios found here are examples of illustration, grouped by category and style. My competitive advantage is that my customers can get many different styles and media - all from one artist.
Here you will find humorous images and creations that are "behind the scenes" and "not intended for publication." Most are the by-product of the creative process. When we brainstorm without placing limits on our ideas, we relax and let creativity flow. Many of the best solutions to design and illustration challenges originate here.
The BUSINESS of art is similar to any other business: finding a need and fulfilling it. Helping businesses and individuals launch their next great idea is THE most fulfilling part of my job. And possibly the most profitable. In business, graphic design and custom artwork must be created "to spec." It must be functional as well as appealing.
Consistent branding and corporate identity is important to a successful marketing strategy. With a unique, recognizable brand you're easily found by loyal customers, while attracting new ones. Ask yourself, "How do I look?" While branding encompasses every part of your business, I, as a graphic designer, focus on the visual parts.
