I began my journey into Chinese medicine after my wife Pam finished studying Chinese medical massage. She started to transform our family's lifestyle by implementing the things she learned from school.
We are in network with BCBSMN, HealthPartners, Cigna, Preferred One, Aetna, and United Healthcare. Your initial visit consists of a detailed Health History Intake based on Chinese medical diagnosis followed by an acupuncture treatment specifically designed to treat your bodies individual needs. Follow up acupuncture treatments specifically designed to treat your bodies individual needs based on diagnosis and your individual treatment plan.
Payment is due at the time of service including all health insurance co-payments, co-insurances, and estimated deductibles. Many patients utilize this cost effective way to pay for their acupuncture treatments, herbs, and supplements. Every insurance provider and plan is unique. If you want to have your acupuncture treatments paid for by insurance, please contact your provider to see if you have acupuncture coverage.

I was referred by a close friend years ago. The first time I saw Brian I was in the midst of moving homes as a new father; my body and nervous system was fried. His presence alone helped calm me. He allowed me space to express how I was feeling, what I was going through. I felt genuinely heard by him, he then responded with a brief and precise evaluation based on his observations. At this point I could tell he was very knowledgable...and with each needle he placed during treatment, my knowing deepened. Dr. Brian and Pam are both amazing at their crafts. Dr. Brian will take the time to listen to your concerns and develope a customized plan for your needs. Pam is easily one I the best massages I have ever had. With both of these treatments I was able to rid of all my migraines that I have had lifelong! Pam and Brian are also two f the nicest people you will ever meet in your life. Highly recommended!

Dr Brian treated my swollen knee from biking. The first treatment reduced the swelling a little bit but 2 weeks later, in addition to some shiatsu and essential oils I did on my own, another acupuncture treatment on the knee and to address other chronic conditions, next day the knee shows great improvement! Sun acupuncture is a gem! The space is very inviting and peaceful, and Brian is exceptional practitioner. He truly cares, and he is an amazingly talented and skilled practitioner. He is also one of a small number of acupuncturist/herbalists with a PhD, so he really knows his stuff.
Pam is also an amazing massage therapist, who has been in practice for many years. Plus, they offer classes to support health.
When you add it all together Sun Acupuncture easily gets 5 stars!

I went to see Brian for some pain in my hands and arms (work related). I was a bit of a skeptic, but having no real relief from the normal routine of western medicine (analgesics, injections, splints, etc.), I was willing to give acupuncture a try. After only 4 treatments, the pain in my thumbs and wrists was negligible and I felt incredible. Brian listens intently and explains what he can and can't do. He is gentle, soft spoken and very knowledgeable about his practice. Brian and his wife, Pam have a super clean and comfortable clinic and offer a wide variety of services. I cannot say enough about

Brian & Pam Grosam were such an incredible support team for me while I landed in Hopkins, MN to stay near my dad when an accident in the home required nursing home care. I was guided to Brian by the only two acupuncturists I knew, who had both coincidentally been taught by him. I had such bad sciatic pain that I was considering surgery. Dr. Brian Grosam and his wife Pam are the practitioners of Sun Acupuncture. They are kind and professional. I had not had acupuncture prior to my visit and was unsure of what to expect. My initial treatment went very well. I sat down and discussed with Dr. Grosam my back pain and he developed a treatment plan which he explained prior to starting. The needle insertion went well and I felt relaxed. He checked on me throughout the time the needles were inserted to ensure I was feeling okay. Can't wait for the results and for my next treatment!
