The Assessment Center is staffed by Licensed Psychologists, Diplomates of Clinical Forensic Counseling, and Certified Addictions Counselors who provide a wide range of focused, comprehensive services to individuals who are learning disabled, have other educational problems, are psychiatrically ill, and/or who present with psychological problems related to stress/anxiety, trauma, abuse and violence.

The Children and Family Center offers counseling services specific to children, adolescents, and their families. When a child or adolescent is exhibiting symptoms or behaviors that are out of character for them, the problem is typically best addressed by working with the individual and the family. Additionally, when parent(s) are going through difficulties of any kind, the children are likely to notice and may be affected in some way.
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Counseling Center of North Kent Guidance Services provides counseling services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, inter-sexed, genderqueer, and straight ally individuals. Our goal is to create an environment that is open and safe for individuals of all sexualities and gender identities and expressions.

One of the reasons I decided to work with this location, despite the bad reviews, was that they worked with my insurance provider. As someone that has been taken advantage of by the medical system and insurance companies I felt I had done my due diligence to avoid that from happening in this case. I called my insurance company, verified cost and had them send me a list of approved facilities. This being one.
I then get a bill that was higher than anticipated and upon calling this location I was informed it was even higher than the bill I had in my hand.

I wanted to give much thanks to North Kent Guidance Services.
I had my son tested there for ADHD and they did a wonderful job!
The front staff was very friendly and was a positive experience with the doctor. Very helpful! Only concern is how difficult it is to get in due to them being so busy. Highly recommend them!

My son was tested for ADHD here and it was a horrible experience. They had someone take him in a room and do a test that was not the psychologist who wrote the report, and spent 1 hour with him on a computer. When we met for our follow up, the psychologist diagnosed my son with depression and anxiety after never spending 5 minutes with him. He literally took mine and his fathers mental health history and gave it to him. He also reprimanded us that we basically cause his depression because of his anxiety to do things how we want. After 5.5 hours of testing with another psychologist, we now have

This was just going to be a trial run for me but I absolutely love my counselor. Dont know if I will ever stop seeing her. I know the point is to seek help, get help, and then move on. But shes pretty accurate and helpful on things I struggle with and so long as she is willing to help, I will keep going. 🤷🏻♀️

I know that folks had problems with the front desk staff in the past, but there have been significant changes at the office and the front desk staff are nothing short of amazing. They are kind and very helpful. I have had nothing but wonderful interactions with them and I have been going there since early April 2019.

If i could give them zero stars, i would not hesitate. Thus office has cancelled on my son three times. Twice while sitting in the waiting room & once just hours before his appointment. This is supposed to be a mental health facility but they do not seem to care about thei patients or their parents mental health. I have half a mind to send them a bill for canceling on such short notice. This is unacceptable behavior from an institution that shiuld be supporting mental health not making it more difficult and stressful.
