The Pilates Center is now a HYPER-CLEAN facility with a high intensity UVC & UVV ultraviolet Light System that kills viruses, bacteria, mold, reduces noxious odors and removes 40% of VOC's (volatile organic compounds). The unit traps 97% of particles at 3 microns which is half the size of the eye of a needle! In accordance with CDC guidelines we require masks when entering our facility, hand washing and/or hand sanitizing. Masks are optional while exercising but some group classes require masks of participants.

The Pilates Center for Fitness and Therapeutic Conditioning, founded in 2002, incorporates modern exercise science and rehabilitation principles emphasizing neutral alignment, core stability and peripheral mobility. These unique exercises based on techniques first developed by Joseph Pilates, are designed for deep body conditioning and injury rehabilitation.
How can that be? Well you have to try it to feel the pilates difference. We would like to offer a FREE 30 minute "Taste of Pilates" if you have never taken a pilates session before so you can see how different it is from other types of exercise. Call us at 757-229-5002 to schedule that FREE session at your convenience.
The Pilates Center is staffed with the most experienced and highly trained instructors in the Williamsburg area. Even our out-of-town clients are amazed at the quality of our instructors and facility. Our clients tell us they feel they receive good value for their Pilates dollars because of our level of knowledge, service, and variety of equipment.
New clients at The Pilates Center start with private one-on-one Pilates sessions. Pilates is more about "how" you do an exercise so understanding the pilates principles and how to incorporate them with exercise is most important. This is an individualized workout based on the person's goals and abilities.
The Pilates Center offers a variety of group equipment-based classes on the Reformer and the Tower with class sizes ranging from 4-7 people having their own piece of equipment. These classes require a minimum of four private pilates sessions before participating in the Basic Reformer class. Some of the more advanced classes require more experience.

My wife and I have been taking "duet" sessions at the Pilates Center for the past 4 years. As a result, we have found ourselves to be more fit, stronger, have a greater range of motion and much improved balance as a result of that work. I have been going to the Pilates Center twice a week for about six months now, and it is the best workout I have ever had in my life. The studio is pristine, spacious, and relaxing. The trainers are outstanding: highly skilled, very positive, and totally committed to helping clients achieve results. I have a lot of spinal issues (scoliosis, rotation, bulging disks, arthritis) and back pain. At first I was worried about injuring myself but it turns out that my sessions are actually reducing my back pain. I didn't think it was even possible! As a little bonus, I've also lost inches

The Pilates Center of Williamsburg is a quaint studio that gives you everything you need and more. Spacious, comfortable and soothing, it has every piece of equipment you would expect, in addition to several pieces I had never used before. The fitness personnel are wonderful and knowledgeable and will be able to help you achieve any goal you set for yourself. It truly feels like a family, and i always look forward to my sessions there.
