After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Wayne State College in 2007, Shawn accepted an accounting position with Kramer and Associates, LLC in Sioux City, IA. In 2009, he made the move to Kansas City after accepting a job offer from Herfordt Shelton Mertens & Couch (now Walters McCann Fanska, LLC) as a tax accountant and eventually graduated to a tax manager position, where he worked until 2014.

Saw the good Google reviews gave them a call waited a week to have a appointment. Had phone consultation was told a quote and breakdown of services would be emailed to me next day. A week later still no response. I’ve called and emailed with no response. I’ve now wasted 3 weeks of time waiting when I could of been looking for an accountant that actually wanted my business instead of being blown off.

I had recently moved to Platte City from New York and had retired from a military career. I was looking for an accountent and I stumbled upon Shawn. He was young and energetic and well spoken. I've worked with Shawn Williams for years. He's the CPA you want to prepare and file your tax returns in Kansas City. Before Shawn I was with a very expensive firm called C.H.&V, where they constantly over-promised and under-delivered and charged me an arm and a leg. When you work with Shawn, you're getting personalized service and you're important, not just another stack of papers. He will answer your questions and explain how the tax code works and how you could use it in your favor. I run multiple businesses and he's done the taxes for all of them. I highly recommend him.

I met with Shawn Williams to help resolve a very odd tax problem that dated back to 2001, that after 2 meetings it appears was a mistake made by the IRS. He is very thorough, patient and willing to help - and he helped me without charging even though I offered to pay for his services. His company offers a one hour consultation for free - I got two consultations for free. I think anyone who has a tax issue would find him to be a great help!
