I've been here twice and have always loved my haircuts! Their student discount is awesome. It's one of the reasons why I come, because it's somewhat affordable. (Most haircutting places are expensive for girls with long hair, so that is why I used that particular wording.)

When here to get my hair layered with bangs. I even brought a picture to show him. I told him I wanted to grow out my hair and keep the layers long. The hairdresser managed to layer my hair but forgot about my original request for bangs. He added bangs later but not the type I wanted. He tried to reshape my hair to fix the bangs but cut waay too much. I left feeling unsatisfied and felt the cut was not worth $73. Definitely not coming here again.

Going to this salon feels like heaven when Sebastion is done! they follow Covid protocols. They have several stylist and many services to chose from.

I keep wanting to like this place but I have had two separate bad appointments. One time, the stylist I booked had an emergency the day of my appointment. My appointment was early, one of the first, so it is understandable that they called me right before. I said I was ok with switching stylists and that I really wanted my hair done that day. When I got there I was introduced to an older white male. He proceeded to give me an attitude the entire appointment and I could not figure out why until the end when he asked if I just made the appointment that morning online right before coming. I said no

I am not one to jump online AT ALL and leave a negative review to ANY business for no reason. I actually jump on Google Reviews to do quite the opposite...

Let me start off with if I could give 0 stars, I would.

I called to set an appointment with a hair stylist at Metromodes after being recommended to them by family. I called, was on hold for about 10 minutes (which totally happens, that was not the issue at all). When the receptionist picked up the phone again (called 1/20/2021, around 2:45 - for the business's reference), we began to try and schedule an appointment for this or next week

I get my hair color done by Kyle and he's wonderful. Kind, funny, knowledgeable and talented. The reception staff and assistants are all courteous, friendly, and professional. Price wise, I think they are reasonable/average with other salons in their area for good quality service. I do not get my hair cut there, though.
Also, at the moment they're operating at half capacity and taking plenty of precautions with social distancing between clients, everyone wearing masks, etc.

I used to go here for years. After a hair incident happened I got nasty remarks from certain employees . Very unprofessional and do not care about loyal clients.

Lovely place and still welcoming despite pandemic. Extremely observant of all known healthcare guidelines regarding COVID 19. Mai gives a great haircut as well.

First time i went today and i cant say how satisfied i am. First of all Jess knows how to wash hair. It's not about the massage but about cleaning th scalp. Good job girl Michael knkws how to cut hair for surw. He will listen to you carefully and makes sure that you will love it. And Michael blow dryed me hair so nicely taking his time with me. I felt amazing! Definitely coming back. Good job to the team

I've been a client for over 15 years!! Michael and David are my angels! I walk out feeling gorgeous each and every time. All the stylists and assistants are phenomenal! I will not go anywhere else.

I have been coming here for years so a review is long overdue. Dave is my colorist, I have gone to him exclusively since I first started coming here. He was recommended by my sisters friends sister in law. Somehow my sisters friend, her sister in law and my sister all still go here after many years and we all see Dave. If you are a blonde (or fake blonde) you must go to him. Here is why... when you are working out at the gym and someone who is in the hair business comes up to you to tell you how fantastic your color always looks- you know you have made the right choice. This place has been my go-to for years. Seriously, I think I've been going here since I was about 5 years old and have only had my hair cut elsewhere once or twice in that time. Sebastian is the man. He knows me, my whole family, and my hair history. I trust him to not only make me look good but to do right by my hair. I always feel well taken care of here.

I am updating my rating to 4 stars because, again, my color was great and also for their customer service. Received a call from Mary today who saw my review and expressed how upset she was that I was not happy with my experience at Metromodes. She offered to make it up to me, which I may take her up on when it comes time for me to cut and color my hair again. I really appreciated her reaching out!

I got the best haircut I've ever gotten here! I've gone to places in NYC where they ask for about $200 for a simple haircut and I have still left disappointed. Today I went to Madison at Metromodes after not having my haircut in about a year. She listened to everything I wanted and made me feel amazing!!! She added angles, layers, kept my long length, and made my hair feel 100x lighter for a reasonable price. Thank you Madison!!!

Initially I was really satisfied with my haircut and color, but I think I rushed to give a 5 star rating. I stand by what I said and I definitely will be returning but I'm not completely happy with my color. It looks good, but it isn't exactly what I asked for. The base color is perfectly matched to the photo I showed but there aren't any balayage tones of caramel. It's maybe a shade or two lighter but only noticeable in bright direct sunlight. It still looks good though I'm not completely unhappy but I just wanted to update my review.

This place is very hit or miss. I've gotten some incredible haircuts here, and also the worst haircut of my life. I asked for a shoulder length haircut with long layers, subtle and flowing. My hair is straight and I have gotten this many times with success. Ive always been able to wash it, and air dry and go. The stylist began by removing a huge amount of hair with thinning shears. I was worried, but I trusted a professional. At least 50% of my hair was gone. She even cut my baby hairs. She took a razor and started chopping up pieces. I was very nervous about my 1st appointment as I had been a client elsewhere for many years. I was fortunate enough to be scheduled with Sebastian for a cut and color and let me tell you...He's an absolute magician as I don't have easy hair to work with. This salon is beautiful! They were so helpful in helping me book an appt that I needed last minute. Lisa at the front desk is such a doll. My hair came out beautiful by Kirstyn! She did an amazing Dutch braid with curls. She was also so nice to get me out on time so I wasn’t late for my event. Mai did my makeup beautifully and was very sweet also!

I was given a haircut and color by my coworker as my Christmas gift and I am so happy with everything about this experience!

I had my hair colored by Evan who is awesome. He highlighted my hair, brightening my entire appearance. I came in not really knowing what I wanted and he took all my suggestions via photos and gave me a look I didn't know I wanted/needed.

While Evan foiled my hair, Arianna spoke with me about some makeup techniques that could brighten my complexion and compliment what i like to do with makeup. I don't like wearing much so she didn't try to cake a lot on

Sebastian is the only person that is allowed to come near my hair with scissors LOL. He gives me the best haircut possible every time. I was referred to him by a friend and I have been hooked ever since. Not only are his haircuts amazing, but his blow outs are equally amazing. I get blowouts occasionally, but they are always the best from him. He is also an absolute doll.
