JMS was founded by a scientist devoted to developing the simplest possible solution to complex environmental challenges. 30 years later that philosophy continues to drive our work. Our mission is to provide value to each of our clients by developing strategic, cost-effective environmental solutions.
Public and private sector clients rely on JMS for creative, cost-effective site assessment, design and remediation services. We work closely with communities and private developers to dovetail remediation with redevelopment activities, converting environmental liabilities into assets. We create programs with our clients to maintain regulatory compliance while operating profitably and limiting risk.

Services
With more than 2,500 projects in our portfolio, JMS has experience providing a broad range of environmental services for a diverse group of clients in New Jersey as well as the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Regardless of project size, each clients' unique objectives are our priority. JMS delivers the experience, service and value clients need to achieve project goals that support their strategic business plans.
At JMS, our fundamental technical skill is the assessment and quantification of environmental risk and liability associated with real property and facility operations. A JMS risk assessment includes a thorough and deliberate review and analysis of many factors including current and historic site operations, investigation results and regulations.
The Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program is a New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) program created to help expedite the cleanup of contaminated sites. LSRPs now provide the day-to-day management of site remediation and ultimately certify that site investigations and clean-ups have been conducted in accordance with NJDEP standards.
Brownfields are abandoned or underutilized sites with environmental concerns that complicate the reuse of the property. Brownfield redevelopment offers potential opportunities for retail, commercial, residential, and industrial center projects; programs have been established on both the state and federal level, providing economic incentives and liability protections to potential brownfield redevelopers.
Evolving environmental regulations make managing and ensuring compliance a constant challenge for business owners and operators. To effectively maintain compliance while operating profitably and limiting risk requires trusted experience, regulatory astuteness, risk assessment expertise, and business and process knowledge.
