After a massive storm, later declared state emergency by Governor, so many residents were in a loss of HVAC, plumbing, etc. Contractors were simply selling on fear and panic to replace units, often only really needing repairs.
Yates was recommended by a neighbor, and I gave him a call. He took all my calls and texts promptly and allowed me to snap pictures of what he figured were the needed replacement parts. He kept me informed of shipment delays and had a technician at my home within 24-hours of parts received.
Instead of $1000’s in replacement costs I only needed to spend a fraction of that

I live in a condo, and the building is serviced by Yates, so I used them for my unit as well, to repair my heat pump over the winter. The person who came to my unit then was on time, explained to me the problem in a language I could understand, and of course fixed it. This weekend, the same problem occurred. The unit would blow air but nothing cool came out (vs in winter no heat would come out). When I called Yates to have them come out again, they were honest with me that the building had had a problem over the weekend with the HVAC. He walked me through how to turn off the unit, told me to wait

Very disappointed, be careful. They sent a guy to my condo for a problem with my wall ac/heat unit. I had the cover off, he was there 15 min, looked at it and Said i needed a new sleeve. Didn't touch it. Got a bill for $160, 80 service call, 80 labor. They say that's standard to come to your house, I say it's a rip off. Im 64 yrs, and have had many service calls, never had anyone charge a service call plus labor hour without doing anything.

I just bought my new condo in October 2015 when I noticed that my water pump furnace wasn't kicking on last week. I called Yates (got transferred to the owner at around 8:30PM ET), a bit concerned about how much this was going to cost to replace/repair.
The owner (I believe "Wayne") said that he was willing to come out there, but instead of charging me $$, he walked me through the steps to reset the furnace, and sure enough, within ten minutes, I was back up and running.
