The Design House was founded to raise the standard of luxury in the areas of a home that are most central to the living experience. In September of 2020, we hope to launch Open Door, a homeowner membership program with a collection of elevated essentials for Tahoe vacation homes.

We partner with our clients to create personalized, one-off spaces, allowing you to delight in the beauty of being home. We begin the project with an assessment of the existing building or plan set and a series of meetings to discover the functional and artistic desires for the space. Conceptual boards filled with possibilities for the space will be presented based upon client furnished budget.

Design House Lake Tahoe, LLC., a Full-Service Interior Design company with a focus on Residential Design + Boutique Hospitality. Kathleen grew up in the California countryside, but her home away from home in the mountains of Tahoe is where her love of architecture and design was born.
Kathleen received her academic training in Interior Architectural Design from Oklahoma University (Boomer Sooner!) and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.Her well-honed eye is a result of extensive study and travel pursuits seeking out the world's best in terms of art, design, and architecture.
