Born and raised in Southern California, Charles Gonzales completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, California. He then went to Wisconsin where he received his Medical Degree (MD) in 1999 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, one of the leading medical schools in the U.S. for Primary Care.
First and foremost, you need a primary care physician (PCP) who knows you -the whole you. One who knows your body, your social and family history, your lifestyle, your likes and dislikes. Your PCP will conduct basic healthcare screenings for you, establish what your health baselines are and what's normal for you - so when something is wrong, your doctor is able to detect it early.

As a healthcare provider, I just have to laugh at some of these 1 star reviews. You might consider the "SOURCE" on those ratings.
Dr. Gonzales is detailed oriented and compassionate. He is my new PCP of March 2021 and since going to him, he has been spot on. His practice is small and that is a good thing. There is always some growing pains.
Dr. Gonzales listens to your concerns and that is hard to find. Time to move out many of these old/washed up PCP's in the valley.
There have been some changes in the office staff but that can be expected. Remember, change is good. I am happy and unless I

Rude Staff who cares more about $ more than people.
I heard this doctor's commercial on the radio. A trusted friend in the medical field once told me: never use a lawyer or a doctor who needs to advertise on the TV or radio. I should have heeded her advise. Anyways....
I called to make a new patient appointment. The receptionist is a fast talking (and non listening) young person who did not ask me for my name...but instead immediately demanded my Insurance information. This doctor says he takes a patient centric approach....but apparently insurance billing is more important than even asking for

If you want a frustrating experience with an abrupt, condescending doctor, proceed with making an appointment. He is all about getting you to pay another co-pay. After one visit, he insisted I was misdiagnosed with ADHD (having not seen my records yet). When I informed him that I would be terminating my care, he wanted to charge me $5.00 for a copy of my labs.
He also insisted I had a heart murmur. The ECG did not detect it and it took him a week to get back to me (insisting the machine was wrong).
Very difficult and arrogant man.

After three visits, I had enough of Dr. Gonzales’ arrogant condescension and started looking elsewhere for a physician. The office is dysfunctional, and the doctor will blame you, the patient, for his and his staff’s incompetence. I learned my lesson . . . Don’t go to a doctor so desperate for patients that he advertises on the radio.
