Services
The Hancock County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) is a public body comprised of voluntary members who share a deep commitment for how our local community works together to meet the mental health and substance use treatment and recovery needs of our neighbors, friends, and loved ones.
Our Board is comprised eighteen volunteer members. Members serve four-year terms and are appointed by the Hancock County Commissioners and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Our Board members represent a diverse cross-section of the community with each member bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience through their various professions and backgrounds.
Established in 1990, the Hancock County Community Partnership is one of the longest standing prevention coalitions in the State of Ohio. The Partnership focuses on substance use prevention and mental wellness by working together to create positive community change through awareness, education, and environmental strategies.
Over the past 47 year history of the Hancock County ADAMHS Board, we have set the bar high, aiming to bring the most effective prevention, early intervention and treatment services to this community. It is important to the ADAMHS Board of Hancock County that all of the members of our community feel as though they are a part of making our community a better place.
Stigma surrounding mental illness and substance use disorder continues to exist, but it can be eliminated with awareness, education, and empathy. Organizations such as NAMI Hancock County and FOCUS Recovery & Wellness Center offer education about mental illness and substance use disorder.

Local providers such as A Renewed Mind and Family Resource Center offer effective treatment options to help people manage their symptoms and begin a journey to recovery.Share with others important information you have about mental illness and substance use disorder to dispel myths, misunderstanding, and false information about people with a mental illness or substance use disorder diagnosis.

So, not really a consumer, but taking some pride in the location, like your U of F neighbors, would do a world of good. The groups of persons hanging front smoking does nothing to make neighbors more welcoming/supportive.
