I LOVE Eliza. I've gotten 3 cocktail dresses, a pair of jeans, a jacket and two -yes two- wedding dresses altered with her. Each item is flawless now.
She is so knowledgeable and will assess each garment based on its structure and fabric before she starts making changes. She explains all of her recommendations in depth and I always feel like I've learned something.
She has truly taken some garments that I thought were unwearable to ones I've gotten MAJOR compliments on. And she absolutely saved my big day- I ordered a wedding dress online and, what a surprise, it didn't

I have seen Eliza for alterations three times over the last several years, and will never go to anyone else if I can help it. I just recently needed a dress altered on a Monday for a wedding that coming Saturday. No other business I spoke with could handle this turnaround time. Eliza had me bring in the dress on Tuesday, and it was ready on Thursday. Her work was meticulous and extremely affordable. She did a beautiful job, saved my dress, and is also an absolute gem of a person whom I enjoyed chatting with. She also totally hyped me up when I tried the dress on. Thank you, Eliza!!!

I was a huge procrastinator when it came to altering my wedding dress. Eliza was super accommodating and finished my dress in 2 weeks! Plus her prices were sooooo insanely reasonable. Everywhere I went, I was quoted at least $600 and up, but she did it all for less than $400 and the fit was amazing.

DIVINE work! Eliza was so quick to respond to my call(s) and explained the level of the work she would have to do. She practiced extremely appropriate protocol given COVID-19 and works with clients by appointment. I had three dresses that needed altering (missing/broken zippers and seams) and she fixed them within hours! Very clean and cute space, and she even gave me a free mask! I can now calmly and comfortably attend a wedding this weekend, thanks to this life-saver!

Eliza is a miracle worker! She altered my wedding dress so beautifully and within the very short time frame I needed it. She was so patient with me and listened carefully to quickly create exactly what I wanted, which included uncommon adjustments to the dress. She made me feel comfortable and offered suggestions that ended up being better than I imagined. I can't say enough good things about her, I was so pleased and plan to go back to her with all future alteration needs, I highly recommend Eliza!

Great experience ordering a custom embroidered hat! I was nervous that something would come out wrong, but they were nice and communicative throughout, and used their own judgement to resize my artwork to an appropriate size, and even tried it out on two different hats because they thought it would look nicer.

I had a request for a custom t-shirt and needed a quick turn around. Chris was knowledgeable, professional, did an amazing job, and made my deadline! The simple layout was executed perfectly on a high quality T-shirt. Being such a quick turn around, I had to order it sight unseen from someone I didn't know. Chris did not disappoint. Eliza is fantastic. I found an Oscar de la Renta sample gown and fell in love, but I knew it would need some love. The tulle was torn, the side stitching was coming undone and and the invisible neckline needed to be adjusted. Eliza went above and beyond. Not only did she fix the tears, adjust the entire top and hem the hand-embroidered skirt, but she redisigned the tulle belt and added a bow to make it look more finished. Her work was impeccable and the price was unbeatable. I would recommend her to any bride looking for perfect, and affordable, alterations.

Eliza is fantastic! My item was delivered sooner than scheduled. She tailored a dress to my body when I was just expecting a hem. She really cared that it fit to highlight my body vs a dry cleaner where you walk in and they do whatever you say.
It's such a hidden gem in NYC. My partner and friends will now go to her.

I called this business yesterday and explained that I needed two simple shirts printed. The gentleman that answered the phone stated the shirts could be ready in 4 four days. I go in person the very next day to see the shirts the images would be printed on and the gentleman says there's no way the shirts will be ready in 4 days.

An absolutely abysmal experience with this company. The best advice I can give you is to steer clear.
Usually when I see a 1 star review among many 5 stars I discount it as a one off and hope it's an anomaly. For your sake, if you do choose to use this company I really hope that you are right! But my sincere opinion is to not take the risk. There are many other companies out there that are more reliable.

Sewwhatandwear had good reviews and were very keen on taking the order - so we proceeded

I can't believe I found Eliza in a pool of bridal stores and alteration specialists.
I had purchased a budget friendly wedding dress. It's a designer a-line gown, but was labeled as a bridesmaid dress, and more affordable, so I was not about to pay $400-500 for alterations. However, with that being said, alterations are REALLY important so I wanted to find someone with experience who had fair pricing.
Eliza was very professional and warm. She makes you feel very comfortable and really cares about doing a great job for clients. Her studio is in an apartment and that probably helps
