He received his formal education in Fine Woodworking at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport Maine. Contacted Fred about a broken drawer. He responded in a timely manner. Sent him some pics and he was able to come out to my house to see it. He determined that he had to order some parts which would be delivered the next day. After he received it he was able to provide me a quote. He returned and was able to repair the drawer.
Highly recommend F Y Woodwerks. Fred is a good person, very pleasant honest, prompt and efficient. Glad I found him and will definitely use him in the future. Thanks!

He is amazing!!! Does great work and is professional. I used him for what I thought was a big project but was a smaller project and he did great. My 100 year old grandmother's table is now fixed. He also educated me on the proper way to take care of the table and I am forever grateful. I thought we needed to sand and stain it and he showed me why that was not the best course to take. He truly cares about what he does and it isn't in it for the money. He won't ruin something so precious to you just for a quick buck. I would highly recommend especially for little projects around the

He returns a call immediately meets every deadline he gives. Extremely thorough on measurements and his work is impeccable. He matched our new cabinets to our original and they turned out like they were all done at the same time. If you ever need work done he should the one choose

Mr. Young has worked on my woodworking projects for the last seven years. He has repaired an armoir with a damaged leg, rebuilt a leg for an antique rocking chair, and he completely restored an antique china cabinet that my grandmother brought with her from Europe when she immigrated to the United States. He is very professional and has always finished the job before his estimated completion date. Mr. Young is the only person we trust to work on our projects.

If you are looking for custom woodworking, look no further. I wanted some custom floating shelving in my living room and guest bath. Fred's quote was an excellent value and I couldn't be happier with the results. Fred was very kind and considerate of my home. He came over to get an idea of what I was looking for and took the time to send me pictures of the progress. You can tell he definitely has passion for his trade! When it came time to pick a stain, Fred drove all the way down to SW Vegas for me to pick between two, because he wanted me to see them in the real light of my home. He

I highly recommend Fred given his seamless execution of multiple projects in our new home. He is definitely one of the most serious, trustworthy, talented, reliable, dedicated professionals ever meet in Vegas. We had a "built" in microwave that died and needed to be removed. Fred was very helpful with assisting with the removal and providing suggestions on how to cover the area with new cabinet doors. Fred built us two long kitchen cabinet doors, which match the color of the other cabinets. We would definitely contact Fred again for any of our woodworking related projects. We appreciate that Fred was able to address our unusual request!

I cannot say enough good things. The quality of work and craftsmanship is exceptional. The owner/proprietor is extremely knowledgeable & super friendly. One thing that really stands out is his professionalism. Promptly responds to calls/texts/emails, follows-up without having to be reminded, and was extremely punctual for every single appointment (which is not always the case - click my profile to see a one star review I left of another local cabinet worker who was extremely unprofessional)

I contacted Fred for a very simple wooden platform project. He promptly responded with detailed assembly options, depending on my application. I ultimately took his advice and ordered the box. He accomplished the project in just two days! On top of that, the finished product is far beyond what I had envisioned...with additional structure inside for weight support. He also sanded it and primed the whole box! Overall, his work is supreme quality. Highly recommend! Will post pictures soon...
