Services
Here's the truth: most funeral homes consider their primary function to be handling remains. Instead, we think of our job as having two parts: physical and emotional. The physical is burials, entombments and inurnments. The emotional is working with families to design healing experiences. Our peaceful and intimate setting becomes a place where people find closure, renewal and togetherness.
With our online grief support you're assured of our commitment to helping you through this difficult time. It doesn't matter what time of day, or what day of the week you need support, we're here for you. You can access online counseling services, join in group grief support, or watch our interactive videos, anytime: 24/7.
Pre-planning is determining the details of your funeral and cemetery services in advance. To some, this may sound like a difficult conversation. But putting a plan in place is actually a smart and caring thing to do. With a plan, you'll reduce stress for grieving loved ones-and simply let them honor and celebrate your life, knowing things are happening just as you wanted.
We have heard thousands of questions, and chosen to provide you with the answers to some of the more common questions relating to a funeral, a funeral service and funeral homes. You'll find the answers to some of the most common questions relating to the value of a funeral, or memorial service, the practices of funeral service and funeral home operation.

I’m not usually one to leave reviews unless I’m warning people not to use a business. However, my experience with Max and his team was incredible. I’ve been to my fair share of funerals but this was the first I was directly involved with planning (my father’s). Max and his team were swift, supportive, responsive, and caring literally from day 1. Max responded to all of my emails of tiny detail questions. He even came up with a quick solution to a flower arrangement issue that was perfect, before guests even began arriving.
There was a slight misunderstanding (on my part) about some wording

Max and his staff were right there for us when my mother passed away. Their primary focus is seeing to the needs of your family at a time of loss, the staff is great. They even had answers to questions that we did not know to ask. These folks are true professionals in every way. I am reminded of an old friend of mine that is in the catering business, she simply says, "We do this everyday" she is a professional in her field. Max and his staff could with confidence say the same thing.

I choose this funeral home out of 4 others I had spoken with because of Veronica's voice. The calmness and her way of speaking to me about my biggest loss I've ever experienced made me feel at ease. Max has a great staff behind him they all go above and beyond they answered all our questions, even if they were repetitive. I felt safe with them taking care of my dad and us as well in these trying times were in. Veronica and Natalie are superstars at Max Slaytons these ladies are kind and caring thank you for all your acommadations and really just being there for me . I would most definitely recommend

I cannot stress enough what blessings these people are. We have used their services twice now and both times they have gone above and beyond to make a difficult experience as easy as possible. They are the kindest, most caring and sincere people I have ever dealt with. In such a difficult and often lonely time, the amazing feeling these people gives you makes everything seem so much easier. True blessings! Thank you so much! We can never put into words how blessed we have been by you all!! The Silvers Family

They made it easy for the family to have a private entry, refrigerator, coffee, and comfortable seating. The day of the funeral, I had difficulty tying my tie. Max helped me himself.

My father James O. Richardson passed away November 16, 2017. I want to let it be known that I could not be more satisfied and impressed by how professional and respectful Max Slayton, Veronica Wilkerson and staff were in handling my fathers final wishes. They went above and beyond expectations through out the whole experience. It's wasn't an easy time and they relieved the stress that was related to my fathers passing and what a family member has to deal with at that time.
Thank you so much for being so caring,
John Richardson
