Taking care of your septic system is protecting your investment, your time and the environment. Without proper maintenance and evaluations, septic systems can fail. A proper evaluations will give you a full working view of your system from the tank to the drainfield. Determine sludge, scum and liquid levels in each of the compartments of all tanks in the system, determining if pumping is needed.
Risers are ultimately all about convenience. They are beneficial for homeowners who no longer want to remove sod and dig several feet into the ground to access their septic tank and make general maintenance of a septic tank easy. Installing an above-ground riser for immediate tank access (and no digging at all) would include many benefits such as no labor to dig up tank lid, and always knowing where your tank location is at just to name a few.
Oregon's Department of Environmental Quality recommends the time to pump is when the septic tank reaches 30-35% solids. On average this means a septic tank will need to be cleaned every 3-5 years, to remove the sludge buildup and other accumulated debris. How often your tank will require cleaning depends on the size of the tank and the amount and type of solids entering the tank.

"WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE"
When I contacted this business to ask how much it would cost me to have my septic tanked pumped at a home I own in Eugene they replied "$475 to $575 depending on the size of the tank. As the tank was buried I asked if there was an additional charge for digging. I was told there would be a $100 digging fee. They did a great job in that they came out that day, dug up the tank, pumped it, then buried it again. The next week when I received the bill it was for $855 instead of the $600 I expected. The itemized bill showed I was charged $500 for pumping

I'm a bit surprised by the negative reviews here because this is our go-to septic service company. The staff are great with communications and skilled in their field. We had a small leak amidst some personal family issues, and they repaired the leak super quick and stayed in touch with us. We really appreciate the fix and consideration of their clients. Thank you, Best Septic!

Like other reviews, Best came out to pump septic tank. Seemed like they did a good job but then stated we needed a new baffle. It couldnt be done while they were there and they had to come back out and charge is again. Them when issues with the drainfiled arose they came out to camera the lines. We were told they didnt run a camera since the lines were full and it was onvioisly failed. We were charged for it though. Now they want us to pay thousands for a new drain field but won't give a true quote or even schedule it. We will be going with someone else for oue service since they can't seem to

Hubby and I wasted a vacation day to meet with the company and have our septic pumped. We waited ALL DAY and I called at 4:58pm and the dispatch said the driver was running behind and they would call me back to see where he was.
NO CALL BACK
Finally today I call and speak with Mindy. Let’s just say customer service needs some serious work here! If I could give ZERO stars I would.
I do not recommend and will never use again. There are too many businesses out there that actually want your business, I will find one.

Best Septic pumped my septic tank and replaced the outlet baffle for me this past weekend, and I really couldn't be happier. Before they arrived, they called to tell me when they would be there and then they showed up right on time. They were friendly and they worked quickly and efficiently, and they also took the time to answer all of my questions and explain some of the nuances of my septic system. I was impressed and I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

No stars would be a better indication of my dissatisfaction with the work done by Best Septic. As a layperson not knowing much about septic tanks. Best Septic came out and pumped my tank. All was good for a few weeks until my sewer backed up again from the toilet all over the bathroom. I called, they came back and lo and behold the first time they pumped, they only pumped one side of my septic which was the out take tank and never pumped the intake tank. I did not know there were two sides of a septic tank so of course I thought they had done their job correct the first time. They did not and when
