We strive to provide a comfortable, fun, and nurturing dental home for children from infancy to early adulthood. Our goal is to build a strong foundation of good oral health. We understand that many families are busy with work, school, sports and other activities. We make every effort to schedule appointments that are convenient for you.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) both recommend your child's first dental visit to be by the age of one. You can help make your child's first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. If old enough, your child can be told that the dentist and her team will explain all procedures and answer any questions.
If the procedure was in the lower jaw, the teeth, lip, and surrounding tissue will be numb or asleep. Sometimes the tongue will also be numb. If the procedure was in the upper jaw, the teeth, lip, and surrounding tissue will be numb or asleep. Often, children do not understand the effects of local anesthesia, and may chew, scratch, suck, or play with the numb lip, tongue, or cheek.

Isabelle had to have three teeth pulled today. She was anxious about the procedure and wary about the machines, the X ray and tools and Dr Mao and her team were so patient, explaining every step of the process and allowing Isabelle to take her time to get comfortable. Dr Mao was deft with her fingers and we got all three teeth out without much tears and no meltdown! Highly recommend!
