Services
Driftless Market gets its name from the region of southwest and west central Wisconsin that remained unscathed from glacial activity during the last ice age. It is from this region that Driftless Market makes every effort to source its products from. We strive to stimulate the production of local and organic foods by providing a place for shoppers to easily find them at affordable prices.
In addition to tasty and healthy foods, we offer a wide selection of art from local artists. Whether you're trying to say thank you, congratulations, or I love you, nothing does the trick as well as a thoughtful and unique gift. Stop in today to see our wide selection of paintings, photography, jewelry, and other crafts all hand-produced within the region and walk out with that perfect, one of a kind gift.
At Driftless Market, we understand that being environmentally conscious is about more than just keeping unnatural ingredients out of your food. It's also about supporting local growers and producers to minimize the environmental costs of actually getting the foods to the store. Driftless also prides itself on supporting the local growers and producers.
The Driftless Market & Deli offers a wide range of bulk products. These vary from basic baking essentials like sugar and flour; to nuts, beans, and snacks. We also carry many different prepackaged bulk treats and goodies. Buying and eating in bulk is an environmentally friendly way to save money and live a healthy lifestyle.
At the Driftless Market & Deli, we take great pride in sourcing our meats and cheeses as locally as possible. We carry dozens of different cheeses from all over Wisconsin, and especially the southwest area. As well as, many different kinds of meat, including Alaskan fish, Local Beef, Pork, and many more.

The Driftless Market team put together a private dinner party celebrating a milestone birthday for 9 this week. The dinner was planned within less than a week, and they pulled it off without skipping a beat. They prepared a special menu based on various dietary restriction, the food was amazing, the room upstairs was reserved for our party and decorated beautifully, and service was absolutely outstanding. They even offered the dinner party guests 15% off any purchase in the store. Best venue in the area for an original and customized private party up to 35 people; highly recommended! Thank

The atmosphere is very friendly and I've heard the food is great although I haven't tried it myself. They have a wonderful selection of organic foods, body products, and artisan-made products. My favorites have been the selection of quality chocolate, beautiful scarves, and huge selection of Aura Cacia essential oils.

I always am happy to see natural-type food stores in small towns, and that is certainly the case here. This seems like a labor of love for them, and I am glad that they have stayed in business for so long.
A noteworthy feature of the store is the prepared food selection. I'm not sure if there are any regular restaurants with organic-type food in Platteville (I doubt it), but at least I know that I can get something to eat here.
They have hot food for lunch several times a week, plus soups and various cold prepared foods every day. The selection of bakery goods is especially nice. Everything

This is a grocery store specialized in organic and locally grown produce. It has greatly improved the quality of our diet as really the only alternative to the farmer's market. They also serve lunches, with a really nice sitting area upstairs. The food varies and is probably the best in town. Cena, the chef, is a culinary genius. The service is always nice and ready to help. They also sell art and jewelry from local artists. If they close I'm moving. Of course the prices are higher than other places in town, but that's the price for better and healthier food.

I do NOT know what we would have done w/o this market while in the area for work from Oct-Feb. We made a weekly trip for the fresh, local, organic produce, local clean meats and raw milk cheeses. Heidi is a dear and so helpful and sweet. Driftless Market will be my first stop when I return for the month of April.

This is a great little specialty market in a great little downtown. I've been here a couple of times and taken advantage of some of the organic grocery and produce offerings as well as to find some special cooking sauces I like. Good choice of fresh produce and cheeses, condiments, pastas and other dry goods and grocery items. You can also pick up prepared foods and eat in there. The owner advised that the seating areas are being expanded to the upstairs space as well (so business must be good.) I took a peek and the two soups and a vegetarian chili which were offered, and they all looked

What a hidden treat! I love all the options. If you are looking for local product or something unique, they have it. We purchased Viroqua coffee -- you have to try it! It was supposed to be for just a treat once in awhile, but it's an every day treat now. They also have natural foods, essential oils, and handcrafted items. You have to stop by!

Cute, quaint and well-stocked local market with international and local products. The gems of the market include their homemade soups, locally made breads and pastries. Don't miss out on the amazing New Century Farms organic eggs that they carry. The farm is local and the eggs are incredible. Never had fresh same-day cheese curds until I visited Driftless Market. Hook's cheese curds are to-die-for. Couldn't stop eating them! Pick up some local organic butter or fresh produce. Prices are great for some items, a little hefty for others but if you care about nutritionally sound products
