PDS Crane Service was started in 1977 as a spin-off of Pittsburgh Design Services, Inc. The company was created to provide installation, repair and inspection services for the overhead cranes and material handling equipment manufactured by Pittsburgh Design Services as well as outside customers. The company has grown to now have over 400 active customers.

The PDS Installation Crew has over 20 years of experience in the erection of Crane Runway Systems and installation of Overhead Cranes. Our experience extends to installations in both new and existing facilities and we make every effort to avoid the interruption of your operations during the installation.

When repair services for your cranes & hoist are required, the PDS Quality Service Team offers prompt, reliable troubleshooting and repairs. We are confident that our assistance will curtail the losses associated with downtime.
Current Safety Standards require that all overhead cranes in regular use be inspected and maintained and that records of the inspection be kept on file. All of our inspectors have been trained and certified by the Crane Institute of America and are up-to-date with the latest revision of the Overhead Crane Safety Standards.
