I worked with a loan officer here who Pre-Qualified a Buyer erroneously. The buyer stated that she was "friends" with the Lender, which should have been my first Red flag. I was not aware until 2 weeks before the closing that the buyers were not really "approved" because they hadn't completed their 2020 taxes, which were due 4 months earlier. At the end when the buyers had to terminate the transaction, the Lender took no responsibility for approving buyers that should not have been, no apology to either me or the Listing Broker.
