Riding South from Central Ioway that morning began in glorious fashion. I'd changed all fluids on my pre-owned Kawi VK1 in preparation for my trip. Bought some new Conti's, a radiator grill; and, even installed a voltmeter that I could monitor along the way, thereby making certain there was ample charge going to the battery. I failed however, to check the battery itself. I stopped to splash my boots at a very primitive - in the middle of nowhere - roadside park 3 miles from the Missouri border. Got my business done and returned to a lifeless battery. What ensued was divine intervention. The next

I used Mautino's for service on my Honda Pioneer 1000-5. It needed significant work (some of it being warranty work). Initially, I was disappointed with how long the service was taking. After 2 weeks, I called every couple days to check when it would be finished. I finally got the call that it was finished after 4 weeks. I live in KC, but was moving this machine to recreational property in Chillicothe. I had rented a trailer in KC, but didn't check the size that they rented to me. They told me it was 6 x 10, but it was really 5 x 10. I panicked in the parking lot, but Mautino's was nice enough

Stopped in looking for a tune-up kit for a 1974 Honda CB 125.. I was met at the door by an older gentleman and asked what he could do for me. I told him what I was looking for and he ushered me up to the parts counter while introducing me to a young man behind it. They were courteous and tried very hard to fulfill my request. The old man reappeared with a box that was exactly what I needed.

Good people work here! I was recently traveling to Kansas City when the throttle stuck open on my ST1100, making it almost unrideable. I took the bike into their shop, and they broke away from their other service work to help me out. They managed to get the throttle unstuck and the idle speed down to a manageable range and sent me on my way with only a minimal charge for 1 1/2 hours of work!
