We would like you meet our terrific dentist, Dr. Glenn MacFarlane, who is dedicated to all patients through every step of their dental health journey. The Center for Holistic Dental Medicine is pleased to introduce him and the amazing dental team with which he works daily in Red Bank, New Jersey.
Glenn "DocSmile" MacFarlane, D.M.D., a lifelong New Jersey resident, was born in Newark, grew up in North Arlington and Belleville, and attended Seton Hall Prep in South Orange, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, graduating in 1985.

Dr Macfarlane and his staff are very friendly and helpful and I definitely recommend scheduling an appointment with them. The dental hygienist is wonderful and sweet as well. I brought my timid four year old daughter in and unfortunately while she did have a few cavities, Dr Macfarlane was able to do laser treatment and fillings without using any novocaine and she didn’t complain once while they were working on her fillings. I myself had the same done and it went very well. Highly recommend giving them a try.

I AM NO LONGER AFRAID OF THE DENTIST :)!! I have always been super fearful of the dentist, so much so that I avoided going for the last 7+ years. I also pass out easily with blood & needles which doesn't help anything. I just got back from my visit, we filled 2 cavities at the same time, I survived lol and I didn't pass out!! I am blown away by Dr. MacFarlane and his entire team. They made me feel so comforted throughout the entire process. Friendly, professional and real, kind people! Dr. MacFarlane kept checking in with me during the procedure to see if I was okay (and awake) which I really appreciated

I am so impressed with the care I am receiving at The Center of Holistic Dentistry! I need a lot of work done on my teeth and was looking for a dentist I felt truly comfortable with. I travel all the way from Central Upstate NY to see them. The office is clean, stylish, they use state of the art technology, the staff is so kind and Dr MacFarlane’s bedside manner is amazing! I have been recommending them to so many. So happy I discovered this place. I feel like I am in the best of hands!

I’ve been seeing Dr. MacFarlane for about 10 years after being kicked out of 2 other dentist offices for having anxiety. I literally called him crying from a parking lot and he told me to come on in. He sat with me in the waiting room and talked to me until I was comfortable enough to go into the exam room. I will never go anywhere else. Also, the office doesn’t smell like a dentist office (which I always hated in the past) and he has the newest technologies so impressions and other things that have caused me severe dental trauma in the past are no longer a fear.

Wow the team and Dr. Macfarlane were amazing. I love their approach and their views on dentistry as a whole. They are super educational and innovative. I was able to bring my infant daughter with me and they went above and beyond helping me and her while I was there. They were so accommodating and a truly amazing staff. If you snore or potentially have obstructive sleep apnea, Dr. Glenn MacFarlane is first person you need to speak with. He is truly a professional and utilizes the latest technology in achieving his patients goals.
