We know that the thought of seeing a therapist can be overwhelming, stressful, and a bit unnerving. After all, you're having to sit down with a total stranger and share things about yourself that even your closest friends don't know. It's important to us that every single person who walks into our office feels comfortable, so we've worked really hard to create a space that reflects that.
We realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor our counseling to meet the specific needs of our clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, we will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
Although depression is incredibly common, it can appear in many different forms and cause a wide variety of symptoms. As a result, you may find it difficult to tell if you are suffering from depression. Anxiety can be a symptom of depression, but it can also be the product of the immense pressures of modern life.
Today's teenagers are under a great deal of stress and are often silenced by their many social and family pressures. Providing our children with the opportunity to take part in their own counseling allows them to further develop skills which promote independence. Common reasons adolescents or teens go to counseling are issues such as becoming increasingly oppositional and defiant.
Over the years, We have worked with many clients who either travel for work or who have difficulty getting out of the office for appointments. For these people, seeing someone in a traditional counseling office was out of the question and they were left without any solutions. When we began offering online counseling, we were concerned that it would feel impersonal or disconnected.
