I called to inquire about a problem with the needle threader on my Brother SE1900 and the lady was very helpful over the phone, explaining that the other stores I tried couldn't repair my maching because only authorized dealers can get the parts for it. She told me they had the parts on hand and what the price would be. I went in and my machine was fixed for $15 in less than 30 minutes, while I waited. The store is bright and clean and a fine place to spend 30 minutes. I wish I had called them six months ago, instead of leaving my machine with another shop who kept saying "we don't know when the

Went there yesterday with an 10-15 year old LG cannister vacuum for which the carpet beater stopped working. They don't carry or work on LG and this particular model is discontinued. Still, they were very nice and trouble shot the problem to the telescoping wand assembly on the spot. They then went online and found a website were I could order the replacement part myself. When asked how much I owed them for their time they said "nothing". I left a $20 on the counter. Now that is friendly, small town customer service!

I can now see why they have such poor reviews. My machine was taken in to have a spool threader replaced, only the stem from the threader was broke, the rest of the threader was intact. When dropping it off at the counter, the assistant tugged at the piece and broke it off. Unaware, I thought that it needed replaced anyway and wouldn't affect anything else. When I picked up my machine, I noticed the handle wouldn't go down all the way as before. THEY DRILLED A HOLE IN MY NEW MACHINE AND PUT IN A BIG BOLT TO PLUG THE HOLE, preventing the handle from lying down flat. There are visible plastic shavings

Talked with someone on the phone about purchasing a Brother business-grade embroidery machine. The employee was not very helpful and seemed annoyed with me. You'd think that a small shop like this would be excited about such an order. I will be ordering through an online dealer instead.
Edit: I ordered a new Brother 6-thread embroidery machine through an online dealer— they offer free shipping anywhere in the country! Great service and very accommodating.

This place of business is the only location I'll take any sewing machine to be serviced. They have a long history with my family of being honest and doing quality work. My grandmother's 301a Singer was serviced here every year until she recently passed and it continues to work wonderfully. My mother bought a 401a Singer for my use from this shop. Although I live more than an hour away I will only take it to Husker Sew and Vac for servicing. In the past I've owned 2 vintage sewing machines and worked with other sewing shops with less than desirable results. Both machines were not maintenced well

I took my non working Kenmore sewing machine to Husker and they told me it needed a new pulley, but said a new one could not be bought. I asked if a used one could be bought and installed, even with no guarantee that it would work, nor for how long it would work. I explained I loved my sewing machine and was willing to do whatever it would take to fix it. The technician said he would look for a used one and I said I would do the same online. Some time later, I was called and asked to pick up my machine because it said 'do not fix' on the repair tag. I explained to the gal who called that I wanted
