Camp St. Charles is a catholic, overnight summer camp and retreat center located in Southern Maryland. Our beautiful water front location is an ideal setting for our summer camp program and weekend events. Camp St. Charles was established in 1952 as a boys' camp and now offers summer adventures to both boys and girls ages 6 to 13 years old.
Our rustic cabins and wide range of activities provide the setting for personal growth, lasting memories and life long friendships. Our daily schedule includes scheduled and free time activities, so that campers may spend additional time at their favorite events. Our unplugged program gets campers outdoors and engaged with each other.

Services
I am delighted to invite you to enrich your child's life by joining us at Camp St. Charles. This experience can be a powerful, positive influence and you will be hearing stories about camp for months, even years! Children leave camp with greater independence, confidence and empowered by the adventure.
Nestled on a peninsula on the shores of the Charleston Creek and Wicomico River is a little piece of heaven called Camp St. Charles. Our rustic cabins provide the ideal setting for personal growth, connecting with God and His Creation and unplugging from the busyness of modern life. Camp St. Charles is a place to take a break from cell phones and other electronics and get dirty in the great outdoors!
We will continue to use the Bunk1 system to share photos of your child. We will be posting more and higher quality pictures and even videos! You will use the same log in information to access your summer camp registration and your camp photos/email account. If you have any trouble with registration, please contact Sheri Belisle at registration@campstcharles.org or by calling, 240-233-3106.
Campers who age out of our typical summer camp program may continue to attend Camp St. Charles through our Mentor program. Mentors are 14 and 15 year old former Camp St. Charles campers who have been selected to be Mentors through an application process. Returning 14 and 15 year old campers may only attend Camp St. Charles by participating in the Mentor program.
The camp pool was installed in 1964, much to the delight of campers and counselors who has been dodging jellyfish in the river for swim lessons. The pool is a favorite place to cool off on a hot day and many children have learned to swim during their time at Camp St. Charles. Swim lessons remain part of our summer program and the pool is open at least twice daily for free time swimming.

Truly a great experience for my sons. First year at this camp. I was worried. My boys had a bad experience last summer at an overnight camp that was only across the street from my house - said they would never do an overnight camp again. Sign them up for two weeks at Camp St. Charles. Worried Mom here. First letter from kid at camp. I love this place. It is the most fun I have ever had.
The Camp Director, Laura is terrific and the counselors are fun and engaging. There is so much to do - tubing, stand up paddle boat, swimming (newly renovated pool), horseback riding, archery, lots of fun and games

This my 6th year going to Camp St Charles and you can see why. It is so amazing! There are so many things to do at camp. The second Monday of camp is called Manic Monday and you get ice cream for breakfast!, and on the night before you can stay up way past your bedtime swimming or watching a movie. Overall, camp is a lot of fun, I would definitely recommend.

Here for a parent child weekend at Camp St Charles, Newburg, MD. AWESOME experience--the children enjoyed camping, paddle parsing, obstacle course, soccer, archery, creek swimming, and fishing. The children stayed in their own cabins by gender as did the parents. We had meals in the mess hall. So much fun..! The full summer camp includes rickety, arts and crafts, horseback riding, camping on Skull Island and swimming in the pool. Mass in the evening who led us in song by guitar. This camp ROCKS..!
