Advanced Foot and Ankle is led by Dr. Matt Wettstein. Originally from Logan, UT, Dr. Wettstein completed his undergraduate studies at Utah State University before attending Des Moines University in the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. After graduating with top honors, he then completed his residency in Salt Lake City, UT.

Unfortunately, way too many people endure painful heels-often from first thing in the morning-because they don't believe the problem is worth addressing or none of the couple remedies they've tried so far has helped. In many cases, the treatments that have been attempted haven't gotten to the root of the problem.
The human body is an amazing biomechanical structure. Combined, there are well over a thousand muscles, bones, and connective tissues (ligaments and tendons) that allow us to move in all the ways that we can. This all works quite well when everything is where it is supposed to be, but conditions like bunions can interfere with this.
Here at Advanced Foot & Ankle we provide a wide assortment of podiatry services for the Twin Falls and Burley, ID communities. The humor and friendliness along with the knowledge and professionalism of Dr. Wettstein and his staff are beyond reproach. They are kind and knowledgeable, explaining every step of the way, while keeping the mood light and happy. I am going in for surgery in three days and don’t have a single fear or feeling of apprehension due to their attitudes, attention to detail and kindness.
I wish every doctor took a lesson from Dr. Wettstein and his staff. The medical profession would be in much better shape!

An amazing experience from beginning to end. Dr Wettstein and his entire staff are amazing. This is the best podiatry experience I've had, and will definitely continue to go here. The entire staff were so nice and helpful and Dr Wettstein was very down to earth and explained everything, as well as addressing all of my concerns.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Wettstein and his staff. The staff at Advanced are always informative and ready to answer any questions about your condition, procedures and/or recovery. To top it off, they are warm, friendly and funny. If you are ever in need of a podiatrist, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Wettstein.

I have had the worst experience with him. He ruined my custom made shoe inserts and didn't have them remade like I was told. I unfortunately still went with him to do my foot surgery. I know have a foot that looks like Frankenstein! I have now had to have another surgery to from another doctor to help fix his mess ups. I still am not the same.
