We are a family run business with a legacy from 1935. The original business, Blaskovics Meat Market was founded by Emil Blaskovics, a Yugoslavian immigrant in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Although the business closed in the early 1980's, Pamlico Deli was founded as an extension of the family business which will maintain high quality meats, cheeses, and family recipes that are most delicious.
Just like the food, the whole interior of the deli was built with love and soul in order to provide a positive atmosphere and encourage conversation. Pamlico Deli always offers the BEST food! We were fortunate enough to enjoy their wild boar with white truffle bolognese dish. It was just creamy enough, light and not over heavy. The parmesan bowl was GREAT! The meat lasagna was the best that we have ever had.
Also, an offering of prime rib on Christmas Eve was the perfect way to top off the Holidays!
The staff is super friendly and inviting! They always treat you like you are a member of the Deli family!

Wanted to get an easy meal to bring back to the hotel, so we stopped here. They made us a personalized charcuterie board, which was really good. The interior of this place is very nice and not at all deli-like, so it would be a great place to eat in as well. Large wine selection and local beer selection. Friendly service. Slightly pricey. Try it!

AMAZING!!!! This is a must try when in the area. It was about a 20+ min drive for us but would have driven further! The BLT had the best bacon on it that I had ever had! Their Soprano and the Italian were ordered by our group and was equally AMAZING. They have wine tastings on Thursday and would have loved to try it but we won't be here. Definitely plan this place for lunch or dinner during your stay. They also offer charcuterie boards and wished we had a chance to try those - they look beautiful and delicious. Very artistic.

When everything else was closed, this was a great find. Classic sandwiches with real roasted peppers were the stars. The dill pasta salad didn't hurt either! While we ate outside, the inside area where we ordered was very nice and would have been a great place to sit. We also brought our dogs and sat on the covered porch to eat.

Pamlico Deli is amazing! Awesome food, from wine nights to sandwiches and Sam on Sax make for a wonderful treat to any day or special evening. The front porch is so cozy and makes for a perfect place to have wine tastings this fall. Nick is always professional and his staff go above and beyond to be sure everyone is happy. Remember, getting help in the area has been tough with COVID, so please try not to knock 5 stars off for timing because their sandwiches are worth the wait! Call in your orders too to save time. Enjoy!

Fresh and delicious! We stopped here on our way back from a visit to Okracoke. After the first stop, we went 2 more times we loved it so much. The Route 12 sandwich was so good! It was our favorite. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Loved seeing the family history there too. We visit the Outer Banks every year and will definitely return to The Pamlico Deli! Don’t overlook this gem!

Charcuterie to go? Yes please!! I'm not sure what the darker cheese is, but I believe she mentioned a combo of sheep and cows milk. It is divine! I have a love hate relationship with cheese. I love it, but it doesn't love me back. I know harder cheeses are easier on my stomach and this is what the fantastic women there put together for me. A beautiful design made out of delicious meat, cheese, almonds, marmalade and mustard. Oh my!

I'd give Pamlico Deli 6 stars if I could. Real slabs of mozzarella on the Italian sandwich. Crusty soft white hoagie/sub bread that is incredible. Highly Rec the Barry and the Italian sandwiches. Grab a beer or soda from front frig or draft at the bar. Playing local Hatteras radio station. Clean and bright with places to sit and eat inside or out. Or get sandwiches to go to eat at the beach.

Amazing!! Oh my gosh we had the Italian sub and now I think we'll be here everyday the rest of our trip. It had beautifully super thin-sliced meat, gorgeous deep red tomatoes and fresh mozzarella(that they make there!). Also a cozy little bar with an awesome wine and beer selection and overall very tasteful, welcoming decor.

Best deli sandwich we've had in years! I had the Soprano and my wife had the caprese with bacon. They actually make their mozzarella in-house and it's fantastic. Both sandwiches were so big we have leftovers for tomorrow. Plus the friendliest people behind the counter. If you're in the area, this is a perfect place to stop for lunch.

If you are visiting Hatteras Island I can't recommend enough Pamlico Deli! You walk in and the smell literally consumes you. We knew at first sniff this was an outstanding decision. We met Sam (I think that was his name!), the owner who visited with us, asked where we were from and was generally incredibly friendly. He let us know they make homemade mozzarella daily (?!?!?!), smoke their own turkey, and have the best Reuben around. We were picking up sandwiches to take to the beach, otherwise we would have stayed for a beer or glass of wine, and apparently they have wine tastings on Thursday

Stopped in here while looking for a grab-and-go lunch for two. My boyfriend and I split the Soprano. The family running the deli was great - super friendly during COVID, and the very nice lady working front of house was following full safety protocol. The half Soprano was very filling, tasting close to the muffuletta from New Orleans without being overpowering with the olive salad. I loved the bread - it definitely tasted super fresh! Deliciousness! These people take great pride in their food, service, and have a wine tasting on Thursday night. We missed that but had lunch on way in. Everything made in house from scratch. We will hit every year now when we are in Frisco! Would have given 5 stars if they could add some artwork and interesting photography to the walls that are a little lacking.

A few months ago we were staying on Ocracoke and took a short little exciting day trip up to Hatteras. After taking in the sights and seeing the lighthouse we were on our way back to the ferry and a little hungry. Pamlico Deli was the first thing we saw so we pulled in! It was definitely in that dead time between lunch and dinner so I was not worried that the parking lot was relatively sparse, but I was a little surprised that there was no one in the deli except for the two employees! We stumbled on the Pamlico Deli on our first full day in Hatteras, after driving around to discover that all the other lunch places had closed at two. We were the only customers, which was not surprising considering the time of year and the fact that they had a hurricane (Dorian) come through 10 days before.
My wife and I chatted with the staff for a bit, finally ordering our sandwiches as well as a piece of cheesecake and half a pound of dill pickle pasta salad. The pasta salad was, as the server described, "strangely delicious."

Traveling through to the ferry and stopped for lunch. I'm not a big deli person but this was amazing! Service was fast and friendly. They have their own designer sandwiches or you can build your own. I had a roast beef sandwich and my sisters had the Italian. Both were toasted perfectly. We also had a yummy cannoli that was crunchy and full of delicious chocolate chip cream!

Great place to stop and eat in or take deli sandwiched and salads to your beach house or to the beach.
As for the food: top quality ingredients, on premise roasting in a see through kitchen makes for scrumptious deli sandwiched, very generous portions. To finish it off we got a Canoli done just right. There are also bear and wine offered if you're in the mood.
Owners are welcoming and service is very friendly. Must try!
