Pre-Covid, My partner and I often loved to frequent at concerts and comedy shows in my free time. We were happy to find that this was finally possible through the BlueNote! I've been wanting to check out this place for awhile now, and really glad I did.
Came here on Wednesday night for the local Comedy! Located inside the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel. The show featured about 5 comedians through the duration of 2 hours. Tickets can be purchased online easily! You will have the option to choosing Bar/Loge seating ($10) or Premium seating ($15), plus fees! That's a pretty low cost considering

Best ever experience at the Blue Note watching Macy Grey. Enjoyed the atmosphere, recommend wine bc the drinks are watered down and cheap alcohol but if you get wine you play it safe. Food was ok, had vegan pizza & truffle fries. Seating was good, had a booth on the floor. Enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere. Staff were polite. It gets crowded but the entertainment was great.

We came here for the Macy Gray show and had a great time! We had the premium seats so we were able to sit right in front of the stage. The show started a bit late but it was nothing too inconvenient. There is a $10 pp minimum and the prices of the food and drinks were relatively reasonable considering the area. We ordered the BBQ nachos, Mahi Mahi and the encrusted ahi tuna sandwich. The Mahi Mahi was very good. I had the French martini and was not very impressed. Macy Gray and her band were amazing! She really kept the crowd engaged the entire time and was cracking jokes throughout the show. I

I highly recommend this live music venue in Waikiki. Went to two shows during my past island visits and enjoyed everything: performance, ambiance, acoustics, seatings and food/drinks! We chose the tables for dinner service, but there is an area for only drinks. Listening to live music performance while dining is the best and relaxing. One of the shows was John Pizzarelli and Trio. They were fabulous and we loved all songs performed! In fact, I'm listening to "Baubles, Bangles, and Beads" while posting this review and brought back memories from this show at Blue Note in Hawaii

3.5 rounded up. The food was super delicious. Loved the spicy ahi poke and the ahi belly sandwich.
The atmosphere was also very nice and comfy for us to enjoy the comedy show.
Unfortunately the drinks were overpriced and didn't taste very good. For an $18 margarita you'd think it would taste better and be garnished a bit.
Also the tables were starting to peel. They looked very dingy. I'm the booth the seat was sunken down in the middle.

Went for the Marlon Wayans show. It seems like all the seats had pretty good views of the stage. We got to the venue about an hour early so we pretty much got to pick our seats.
Overall, I enjoyed the show. I'm giving this experience three stars because I was a little uncomfortable with some of the precautions they were taking because of Covid.
Pros- they check your vaccination status like every other bar/restaurant in Hawaii
Cons-They fill up the entire place so expect to be sitting with people that you don't know. A couple arrived later and was sat at our small table. As soon as

Loved everything about Blue Note.
Every seat in the house has perfect views.
I love the way they set up the seating so that the best seats are not left open. I love the way the COVID standards are still in place and how everything is so so organized. Loved it and will be making this place a regular adventure for me.

2 out of 4 local comedians were hilarious. Jon B, & Shield E were highlights while we were there. Reserve tickets on line. Prices are cheap.$10-30 but if you get tickets for seating, it's first come first serve. No seat is bad. Up close and personal to stage. Food is a little pricey. $15 for truffle fries and came out cold. Best to eat before you go and enjoy a few drinks instead. There is a $10 minimum at each table.

On Vacation in December 2021, I stayed at the Outrigger and saw that Sheila E was going to be performing right on the resort so I jumped at the opportunity!
The food was amazing! I had braised short ribs which were absolutely delicious and succulent and few Mai Tais! I think I got a dessert but don't recall much after the Mai Tais lol
Service was excellent and Sheila E gave an amazing performance , it was her birthday- 63rd! She also gave a special tribute to Prince!
Staff needs to communicate better to guests regarding showing proof of vaccination before getting in line, several ppl

We've always loved coming here to watch anything from Paula Fuga to Bert Kreisher. It's not large, but it's not small and cramped either. But, after years of coming here and realizing one consistent fault, I felt compelled to write a review.
Service. Is. Horrible. ALWAYS.
We've honestly gotten into the habit of ordering extra drinks just because the amount of time the server comes around again is anyones guess. When we were here a couple months ago for Kuana Torres, we were ordering 10 drinks each time for our party of 5.
What's even worse is they have a habit of

We had a great time at the Jon B concert. Parking was as expected, we parked at Royal Hawaiian since the Outrigger lot was already full 2hrs before the show. The venue was nice and easy to find, the food we did have was delicious but based on what we would've purchased, most items are overpriced. Our waiter was nice and even though its fcfs we found great seating in our area. I'd go again, the drinks are great

I had a chance to check out this venue for the Jon b performance on Saturday. The ambiance was great, the sound was thumping, and the staff the served was friendly and equally great. I sat in a bar seat towards the back but honestly it was still a great seat to see the performance.
The only downside for me were the french fries I ordered. They were hard as hell. How can you mess up french fries? On the other hand the kalua pork bao buns I ordered were tasty.
All in all If I'm ever in Hawaii and there was an artist I wanted to see or just some good music, I would go back to check this place

I had such a great time here at the blue note. Though I lived in NYC for over 13 yrs and blue note has always been right near by in west village. I never made a time to go see any artists. Anyhow, I got to see Jon B (some of you may not know) but boy he still got it. He was an amazing live singer. The waitress service was amazing. She really got around the crowd when everyone was up and dancing towards the end. I would love to come here and also go see Jon B wherever. Both the venue and the artist and my drink Vespa was pretty good!!

I've been coming to this venue for various events over the years and it continues to be one of my favorites for intimate live music or comedy shows on island.
Located in the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. How to get there: if coming from the street head up the escalator and go left and the entrance will be there to get inside), not to be confused with going right to the Blue Note gift shop seen immediately once exiting escalator.
The place gives off total jazz club vibes. Intimate, dimly lit, lots of tables, and a stage. Not a bad seat in the house. There is a $10/per person drink and

Live music and local entertainment is back y'all! I'm absolutely appalled that I have never paid a visit to this venue and establishment before! Conveniently located next to the Duke's restaurant in the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Hotel, this place was great.
The drinks here, strong but expensive... but what do you expect--it's Waikiki. I will say that the service here was phenomenal as well. With plenty of "jazz club" vibes to go around, I felt safe in this rather cozy setting. On a most recent visit, we came to see Josh Tatofi. Can't complain when the entertainment

We went to the 6:00pm show on October 9th for Justin Kawika Young and friends, the show was great but the food was terrible. We usually only order truffle fries and drinks when we see shows but the last time we saw peoples food and it looked good so we wanted to give it a try.
We ordered the truffle fries, the braised short ribs and the mahi mahi. The truffle fries was nothing like we had before. We didnt get a full serving(the fries were smaller than usual not their crinkle cut fries), and the parmesan cheese was falling everywhere.
When our food came both dishes werent even hot it seemed

The Blue note is a beautiful establishment. It's located right above Duke's restaurant.
I know that covid has decimated the artist schedule. We came here and wanted to watch the comedy show.
Being generous, it wasn't great.
I'd recommend that management that's the talent and ensures that there's some amounts of humor to their acts.
Having to pay for tickets, and then pay for the $10 drink charge was a bit disappointing considering how bad the show was.

My first time here last night to watch "I am Kawehi" and it was good. Ambience was nice and it's a good venue for music. Most seats are good view seats.
Very expensive for sure. $9 for beer and $15 shots. Food was also pricey. This is Waikiki,
So I guess it's expected.
Ordered Caesar salad and spicy tuna poke. Both were at room temperature. I expect salad to be cold...it was tasty though even though it wasn't cold. The spicy tuna was edible, but I just cant with room temperature raw fish. I don't recommend, it was $18.
Our waiter was good.

There's just so much to love about Blue Note!
(Unfortunately, the food is not one of them. The drink menu is fine and the drinks are average as far as taste, no complaints there but small. We have been here very many times and the only food we've had that is consistently good are the garlic fries and hamburgers. It's Waikiki and there's an unbelievable lineup every time but the food does not match. Keep the prices but do better on the food.

2021 is slowly opening Hawaii back up and coming to the Blue Note was a great way to feel some type of normalcy after 2020 ruined everything!
Social distancing is enforced so tables are spaced out which is actually really nice!
The venue is beautiful! Not a huge place but definitely a great intimate environment and perfect for date night or just a night out with friends or even by yourself (why not treat yourself?!)
The food menu has a variety of items to pick from so go wild and get the crinkle fries!
Our waiter was awesome! The whole experience was great and I'm looking into future events

Thank you Blue Note for bringing back LIVE music and events!!!
Gosh, it is hard to find fun things to do right now in COVID so I was SO excited for my night out on Valentine's Day at The Blue Note!
We had a "girls" Valentine's Day and bought a table for 4 for Anuhea and Justin Young.
The Blue Note is located in the Outrigger Waikiki hotel. We drove by and parking said full so they route you over to the Ohana East, which is sort of a far walk. I was in 4 inch heels and it is at least 3 blocks away. ugh. I advise if you park there to wear shorter heels. lol
