Primarily buying and selling Used CNC Machinery, while concentrating on Used Haas Machinery. Jamestown Machinery, Inc. sells Used CNC Machinery often used in machine shops, tool and die shops, mold shops, manufacturers, etc. The company was started in 2001 by John Krygowski, who had sold new machinery for local distributors.

John's CNC background was primarily representing and selling the Haas and OKK lines. Jamestown Machinery has diversified into selling other lines of Used CNC Machines & Manual Machines. The addition of another experienced salesman brought opportunities to expand into more lines, such as Mazak Machinery.
Services
When in need of a new machine, companies often believe they need to purchase brand new equipment. However, there are many used machines entirely capable of producing good work. Jamestown Machinery seeks to buy or broker machines other companies get rid of due to lack of space or a need for a machine with different or greater capabilities.
There seems to be a good range for the age of a used CNC machine. I feel it is from 4 - 10 years old. That is based on a machine that runs the typical 1000 hours of spindle time per year. We work with freight brokers, whom we have worked with for a great many years, that we trust and are reasonably priced for our buyers.
Mazak, Mori Seiki, Doosan, Fadal, Makino - Each CNC has its fans and detractors. But shops know what works for them and they know that used mills and used lathes with lots of good years left in them hit the market. Used machinery that can produce good parts and save a company from having to make a large investment.
First it was Fadal and then Haas that answered the call for making a cost effective American made machine to compete with the foreign built Mori Seiki, Mazak, Okuma, Makino, Daewoo (Doosan), etc. Each of these has their fans and we are just happy to make available good working used vertical mill machines when they come available to us.
CNC Tooling Equipment is obviously essential for making parts. And from time to time, we do get some used cnc tooling equipment which sometimes includes tool holders. Tooling typically comes to us when a company is closing up and we buy them out. Recently a company got rid of their only CAT50 machine, for example, so all those tool holders became available.
