Rothwell Marine began in 1984 when the founder, Jerry Rothwell, opened the business as service only in the small town of Hope, Arkansas after being involved in boating and fishing for many years. In 1986 we moved to a larger location on one of the main highways in Hope due to increased business and the need for more exposure.
Continuing to grow over the next few years the business transformed into the second generation with the new owner Gregg Rothwell in 1992. Then, in 1995 Rothwell Marine was again outgrowing it's location and moved down the street to a location that had substantially more area, 1/2 of a city block, as well as abundant showroom and storage area.

Our service department is staffed with knowledgeable, factory trained technicians that are experienced in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all major brands of outboards and inboard/outboard power plants as well as electrical, structural, and rigging for boats and trailers.
Rothwell Marine carries the three top brands of outboard engine and one brand of mud motors for your boating needs. Rothwell Marine is a Mercury Outboard Premier Dealer. I really like doing business with these people. I bought an older motor from Jerry rothwell about a year and a half ago. I've had no problem with it it ran it for several hours. But I got water in the carburetor my fault. I brought it to Jerry he repaired it in about 2 days. And it is running very good again. They have good inventory of parts. And several technicians on hand that are very knowledgeable on anything dealing with Marine products. Jerry's son Greg rothwell handled most of the sales and I feel is a very honest person. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for a boat or repair

Gregg is a great salesman. My husband and I were looking for a 20 hp motor to fit our existing boat. He even called another dealership trying to locate what we wanted. Rothwell had some ordered but didnt know when they would be received. Turned out the shipment came while we were there. We love our new motor!!! Nice folks, nice prices and nice service. We will be back!!

My husband spent 3 days searching for a prop after his was damaged..after being told we would have to wait till mid October we drove down to Rothwell Marine...not only did they have the exact prop..but excellent customer service...friendly people and their mechanic personally made sure he had the right parts for us....would recommend them anytime...well worth the drive for us... can't beat their prices also!

Called looking for a tempest prop and spoke with the parts dept he answered all my questions and gave excellent advise with much patience. I used his advise and avoided the obvious setback of over pitching my prop. I ordered the recommended prop and received it from Arkansas to Georgia in 3 days. Wish we had service like there's here in Georgia. Highly knowledgeable and efficient

I called about a nagging prop issue I was having with my Champion bass boat. Talked with a friendly service guy over the phone and he assured me he knew the problem and recommended a 4 blade Bravo XS prop. Had it shipped to my house and tried it. Wow! Works like a charm! Great out of the hole and top end! One happy customer. If you’re in the market for a prop, I wouldn’t go anywhere else than here!
