Saddleback Lighting, Inc. opened in St. George, Utah in January of 2008. Founder Susan Guernsey and her husband Gary had been in the lighting business in Southern California and Texas since 1972. They used their extensive knowledge of lighting technologies to carve out a niche in the market, selling directly to businesses and offering free daily van or UPS deliveries.
By focusing on commercial-quality lamps (light bulbs), ballasts, and a few commercial fixtures, Saddleback Lighting does not directly compete with electrical wholesalers, lighting fixture retailers, or the box stores, who carry residential-quality products. We also offer installation services. In 2013, Gary and Susan made the decision to semi-retire and sold the company to Artie Edmunds in January of 2014.

Services
If your business is not within our delivery radius, no worries! We offer free UPS shipping on most orders. Beware of super-low Internet prices from firms that charge outrageous fees for shipping and handling. Do the math and you'll find that we are almost always your best price, and the great service is a bonus!
While we carry thousands of LED, H.I.D. bulbs, compact fluorescent and incandescents, our main emphasis is on energy-saving products, because when you reduce your energy consumption, the savings go straight to your bottom line. Many people don't realize that 80% of the cost of lighting is the electricity consumed over time, not your bulbs or even your fixtures.
LEDs offer the most sustainable-and exciting-alternative to incandescents. For starters, they're highly efficient: The average efficacy of an LED bulb is 78 lm/w (lumens per watt), compared with around 13 lm/w for an incandescent and approximately 18 lm/w for a halogen equivalent. Yes, LEDs have their shortcomings: Buying an LED bulb doesn't seem as intuitive as picking up an incandescent from your local drugstore, and the up-front cost is high.
1 Obviously, they use less wattage than their incandescent or halogen counterparts, as much as 80% savings!. 2 They burn cooler so you will use less energy cooling your space - especially important in hotter climates!. 3 They last much longer, even under commercial conditions running 24/7, so you replace them less often.
We also carry a selection of medium-based decorative bulbs, both clear and frost, in 25, 40, and 60 watts. 25 per box. Average life rating is 3,000 hours. Need your energy-efficient decorative bulbs to be dimmable? Check out these cold cathodes! We think the spiral inside the clears looks ultra-modern but they also come in white if you prefer.
