To me, history is extremely important. I am currently in charge of running my family's business. And feel first hand responsibility for carrying out the traditions of the past, so as someday to pass it to the next generation with the same integrity we have carried for so long. Over 100 years ago, in the exact same town we are located in today, my great grandfather, Joel Caves, started a lumber and millwork company.
He must have been pretty good at running the business because it survived through many decades, through the great depression, and into the 2nd generation of ownership. From what I have found, he also must have been a heck of a craftsman. I don't think he simply was born that way. In my opinion, my grandfather, the 2nd generation, was probably better at running a business than he was a woodworker.

Caves designed the best kitchen a cook could have. With a wall of windows, I had limited space for above counter cabinets. Their design gave me more space than I have ever had right where I need it. Caves Kitchens is beyond awesome!!! Incredibly friendly, great at listening to what I wanted and working to make that happen within my budget, organized and detail oriented, and excellent quality of the cabinets. They set me up with Jim Gillespie for construction and he also was top notch! Love, love, love Allison and Jeff Caves and my new gorgeous and functional kitchen!

Caves did a great job working with us to remodel our kitchen. My house is an old farm house and we wanted to keep the character while updating it with new counters and cabinets. They came out and met with us several times to ensure that all our needs were met and provided a few options to us. We started with our favorite option and made only slight modifications to it. We love our kitchen and enjoyed the experience working with them. I would recommend them!

Very friendly people. They will listen to what you want and help you get what you want. They may not have cheap stuff like the big box stores, but you get quality and great service. They don't charge you for coming out and taking measurements like the big box stores. Again, you get quality and great service. In my book that is better than cheap product.
