He ran his own consulting business in Northern New Jersey in the mid 90's, then worked for an Internet Service Provider there called Simlab for several more years where he ran telephone support and PC building and repair and assisted in Network Administration.
After moving to the Hudson Valley in 1999, he again ran his own computer consulting business as well as worked for Computer Doctors of Poughkeepsie, which later bacame known as Dept-One, Inc.There he was the Director of Technical Services and Operations. Dept-One provided integrated support and Internet/Networking solutions for small- to medium-sized business in Poughkeepsie and surrounding areas.

When does billable time begin? Billable time begins AFTER we listen to your problems and needs, identify the issues and begin on work to solve the problem. How will I know what the problem was and what you did to fix it? We will explain what we are doing as we do it, as well as document what we have done and give you that information so you can refer to it in the future.

My husband and I have know Rick Ness for ? not sure, at least ten years, maybe more. He is always responsive when we need a computer issue resolved. He is trust worthy, careful and has a great work ethic. Rick always tries to solve problems when I would probably give up. Rick your the best.

If you have any computer issues whatsoever Rick is your guy. He was professional, courteous, explained things in laymen terms and was an all around nice guy. My problem was minor and easy to fix but something an old lady like me could not do herself. He was accessible at all times and his rates are reasonable. I recommend him highly.

Great experience!! I called Ness Computers to have Rick go through my daughter's laptop before she starts her 3rd year of nursing school. We are not very good at knowing what we need on our computers and what we don't. Rick was able to access her laptop remotely and clean it up for her. He made himself available the day after I called and it was just a pleasurable experience overall!! Thank you...

Our organization has worked with Rick for almost 20 years! As a non-profit we don't always have the budget for top of the line, expensive equipment but his knowledge and patience kept most of our old equipment going through the years. He also assisted us through two moves to new locations. Since transitioning to laptops and the cloud years ago we don't need his services as much but whenever we do he's quick to respond. We all know it's hard to find a computer tech who will give you quality service for a fair price, who can communicate well with you, and who will give you one on one service. I was referred to Rick after having a bad experience with my former tech company. Rick spent several hours on the phone with me, took control of my computer, communicated everything he was doing with me while working, and fixed all of the issues I had with my computer. While we waited on some things to transfer, he utilized this time to clean some of my hard drive up for speedier response times. Rick was super friendly, understood
