Surprisingly the story of this bike shop is also a love story that begins in Nyack, NY in 2013. Ron was working for Toga Bikes and Alissa came in looking to buy one. As a mechanic, Ron usually didn't sell bikes. But one of his co-workers called him out to the floor to help her out. They had their first date riding bikes around Rockland Lake.
The 2022 Curb, which is available in four great colorways, offers the entry-level rider a bike that looks and feels like a pro model without the price tag.

Featuring modern geometry and outfitted with components such as 8.75-inch Kink T875 bars, 3-piece tubular chromoly cranks, a raised Mission Control TL stem, soft Kink Paragon grips with push-in Kink Thrust bar ends, and 2.4-inch tires front and rear; the Curb is perfect for any rider looking for a solid first bike. The 2022 Launch continues the legacy of a truly remarkable bike.
650B all-condition bikes without limits The Doppler offers riders a traditional brevet and touring bike with smooth-rolling 650B tires that can venture into the dirt for those off-road excursions. Known for versatility, the Absolute's geometry strikes a balance between speed and comfort, making it ideal for the fitness-minded rider or the urbanite looking to ride to work or run errands. The Traverse is a dual-sport machine that will take you anywhere. With disc brakes, the Traverse is a confident commuter on city streets but still able to conquer trails with ease.

At this size, what your little ripper needs is a lightweight bike made with an aluminum frame, with super-easy handling, all the fun and no fuss-the all-terrain 16 tires roll smooth, the simple single-speed keeps it durable, and the numberplate is for the budding 'crosser ready to go blast around the local neighborhood.Small wheels doesn't mean small fun: this is GT's premium off-road, all-terrain, all-action first mountain bike.

Awesome cafe, great atmosphere, tasty coffee and lovely breaky. Poached eggs to perfection and love the sourdough toast. They've sorted the bike a couple times in the past as well👌

We moved from London 3 years ago and this is the best breakfast we've had since. The food and service is wonderful and the pop up taco nights are to die for. So lucky to have them around the corner. Thank you Velo Domestique!!

Excellent service on my two wheeler. Honest, fair price, great work performed - didn't do more than necessary or what was asked for, just what was appropriate for the bike and its actual condition. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend Velo's service department. Top notch!

I visited the store at a time I was the only customer and Perry was helpful and friendly in every way. I went in for helmets and he also gently looked over our bikes and gave us important feedback around where our bikes need upkeep as well as it might be time for bike upgrades due to the amount of biking we do. I appreciated ALL The help and input.

This place was really cool. Right off of the Empire State Trail, I guess it's an old car wash. A friend and I are taking a long ride from Saratoga Springs to NYC. I forgot to pack a tube, so we stopped quick and chopped it up with the two dudes in there. They gave us water, and Perry (sorry if the spelling is wrong) ended up giving me a huge hand with my bike panniers, at no charge, after the shop was closed. These dudes are super cool and just opened. Can't wait to stop by again soon.

Wicked coffee, went for the Guatemalan V60. Made very well might even try to pinch the recipe. Fresh selection of beers and bags of coffee to take home. The bike shop itself looked the absolute kit but wasn't being used whilst I was there - loved seeing the Tifosi hanging from the ceiling and the rest of the kit.

These guys are an amazing and semi-hidden gem of a local resource. I'm not going to say the Chatham area doesn't deserve them, but the owners have the kind of bicycle knowledge, service, and experience you'd expect to find in a much larger city. Glad they're here. Thanks for your help and expertise!

Great place, very passionate and knowledgeable owner, and really nice to have a dedicated bike shop in the area.

We're casual bikers, just biking on the weekends upstate, not too much off-road, and we are not in possession of any spandex. Our biking needs are mostly minor repairs, tune ups, and suggestions for amateurs. We brought our bikes in for tune ups and just some really minor issues, but we got great service and attention. The price seemed perfectly fair, and the turnaround time was exactly as we were told and expected.

We had a great chat with the owners (Ron, I believe), who gave

This is a fusion between cycle shop and cafe serving freshly made healthy food. The cook is happy to make you something you can eat if you have any special dietary requirements and gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options are on the everyday menu. The music is just right and still allows you to have a conversation and the staff are pleasant, competent and friendly. I can thoroughly recommend this.

This small shop is a great addition to Chatham and doing well although on the scene just a year. Ron the owner is a real deal serious mechanic who has been involved with serious organized bike racing in that capacity. This is where you want to go for repairs if you are anywhere in the vicinity. It isn't offering a big selection of bicycles yet but what they have is pretty good stuff. Ron is doing great things in a very small space.

Ron Gainer is an outstanding bike repair man. I took an old "banger" into him to rehab because I wanted to drive it in NYC without worrying about having it stolen. He slapped 2 new outstanding tires on, fixed a brake cable, tuned it up and did it UNDER the estimate he provided.

I noticed they've got new bikes that are affordable as well -- my next bike next year will come from Velo Domestique!

HIGHLY recommended.
