I initially thought I was getting a good value with Dan Pena Drywall as their bid for a popcorn ceiling removal, smoothing of the walls, and repainting the entire interior was by far the most competitive. However it has proven to be a major disaster that would cost far more to fix.
Not only were there major delays and cost overruns, the drywall is now easily damaged by a mere bump. Worse of all, the paint has started to come off like paper. This is completely unacceptable. They are promised to address these issues, but have never shown up.

Reached out to Dan Pena drywall to have a simple fix done on some sheetrock and was given a different number to contact to have it taken care of. When I reached out I felt like the guy had no idea of who referred me but said he could help me out. After trying to set up a solid appointment the guy pushed me off with a few "I think I can fit you in" responses, I decided to reach out elsewhere. Not that I was unhappy with the work, just that I never had the opportunity to have them even come out and look.

Sal was super chill for a tradesman and that made it easy to work with him. He strategically hired a "giant of a man" (I'm six four 320 and, yes he's even bigger) who could do the whole job without a ladder. The work was done quickly but not skimping on quality workmanship. He was accommodating when he had vehicle problems and went the extra mile to make the job worth the money.

I have never had a more positive experience with a contractor.His work was great, he was responsive, followed through on his word, came when he said he would, and finished the job in our rushed time frame. Everything went smoothly from estimate to cleanup. We had a difficult skylight patch job in a high ceiling over stairwell and several contractors couldn't figure out how to do it. Danny and his team were great, worked with us on a solution and got the job done quickly and results exceeded expectations. Communication was good also with daily status reports. We will definitely use them again.

Danny recently finished two drywall and insulation repair projects for us at our rental property and primary home. Both were caused by water damages, one from water heater leak and one from roof leak. We are very satisfied with his high quality work and professionalism throughout the process.

Danny, Sal, and Davin were all amazing to work with. Don't risk it with other drywall repair guys on Yelp, most of them here don't even have contractor licenses! I found these guys through the CSLB after calling nearly a dozen others and rejecting them because they did not have C-9 license. In the end, I received 3 quotes from licensed drywall contractors and and went with Dan Peña because they were very communicative, flexible with timing, and seemed to care about minimizing debris.

We had a patch of drywall that had been removed last spring for mold remediation, and after we got the roof patched this summer we needed to repair the drywall and texture and paint the area - and we added on a trim installation and paint job nearby. Needed a 2' x 5' hole in my living room ceiling patched due to a drain overflow in my home from upstairs. It was a 4 day process due to the texturing required. His prices quotes were very competitive and most of all Dan is willing to work out the best affordable price for installation. Dan is also great at communicating the best dates and time to begin work. Dan and his son wore PPE due to cover-19 and did an outstanding job installing the new drywall. Would definitely use again.

Hired Danny to do some drywall repair work following some major window leaks. Also hired him to do some ceiling tile replacement for office.
Good guy; Attention to detail; Responsible; Clean; Good problem solver; and Good work ethic.
I had some issues after work is done and he came back to address all.
Also ceiling tiles replacement involved removing specialized equipment which I was going to hire a tech to do - but he figured out and did it himself.

For several years my wife and I have been renovating 3 houses. For every project that needs sheetrock work we always call Danny. Our projects have ranged from total kitchen and bathroom tearouts to removing acoustic and texturing vaulted ceilings. Hired Dan to drywall a tough shed to convert it into a home office. Dan was able to also insulate, paint, and frame a wall for me.
