From the time I was a child I have felt a compelling urge to discover and pursue an abiding life purpose. When I was twelve years old I was called to this career path and as I look back on my life I can see that every experience I have had, both good and bad, has shaped who I am as a healer. This is more than just a job to me - it the life path and purpose that was laid out before me by God.
I'm not satisfied with Band-Aid solutions. My goal is to get to the root of your problem but in order to do that, I need to know all about you. This is why it is so important that you are honest and thorough in filling out your new patient paperwork and answering my questions at your first appointment.
Payment in full is due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, major credit cards, and HSA cards (Read below about your responsibility for verifying that your HSA covers acupuncture and/or herbal medicines). Gua sha or cupping (stand alone, no acupuncture): $75.00 (for established patients only - these modalities are not appropriate for everyone, so an initial consultation is required prior to scheduling).
A $50 deposit is required to reserve a new patient appointment. This deposit will be applied to the initial consultation fee and is refundable with 48 business hours' notice in the event that you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment (valid emergencies are, of course, an exception to the 48-hour notice requirement).
It is our policy to require all patients and prospective patients over the age of 18 to schedule their own appointments.* This is because successful treatment requires a willingness on the part of the patient to be an engaged participant in a process that may extend over the course of weeks or months.

Five stars are truly not enough! As a recipient of Kristen's care for about a year now I can honestly say I am not sure where I would be without her care. I have always suffered with allergies, but one particular day several years ago I was so miserable I could not even enjoy a lunch with my adult children, so it was at that point I decided to try acupuncture, as I had already tried everything else, including monthly allergy shots. Kristen first recommended some herbal supplements to just get this terrible episode under control, before we moved on to actual acupuncture every two weeks, which has basically cured my allergies. I can now go once a month with no issues! I would highly recommend Live Oak Acupuncture to anyone for any issue, not just allergies

I have several herniated discs. The neurologist did not recommend any kind of surgery, but rather told me to limit sitting as much as possible, even to the point of standing to do my work on the computer, as I am an online professor. Four months ago, I went on a tour in Europe which involved sitting in a vehicle about six hours a day. By the time I returned home, the back pain was horrendous. I simply did not want to depend on pain medication and did research on alternative therapies. There is considerable research supporting acupuncture for the lower back, so I decided to give it a try.
