Gulf States Engineering, Inc. is a multidiscipline engineering firm with a wide variety of experience in heavy industrial, commercial, and government projects. GSE is an employee-owned consulting firm founded in 1998, staffing 90 highly experienced engineers and designers.

Most of the firm's staff, whom have been with the company for over 10 years, includes planners, multi-disciplinary engineers (Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, and Fire Protection), Surveyors, and program/construction managers.GSE is headquartered in Mobile, AL and has regional offices located in Gulfport, MS and Nashville, TN.

Our structural staff has obtained a wide scope of experience from numerous industrial and commercial projects. Whether the challenge is a beachfront tower condominium, a complicated industrial structure or a deep-draft port facility, GSE's Structural team has the experience to design your facility.
GSE was contracted directly by Drever International (SMS Group) to provide engineering design for the steel structures for the Furnace, Cooling, and Post Treatment Towers supporting Nucor|JFE's new Hot Dip Galvanizing Line. The hot-dip galvanizing line will produce 400,000 tons of steel strips per year, most notably deep-drawing grades and high-strength steels for the automotive industry, including modern dual-phase steels.
GSE provided full engineering services for the Standard Concrete prestress facility constructed on a 60 acres site. The facility included a concrete batch plant, prestress casting beds for piling and bridge beams and a barge loading facility.

GSE provide all front-end design services for the planned expansion to Lenzing Fiber's existing facility in Axis, AL expected to more than double current production levels to a total capacity of 140,000 tons annually.The GSE specific scope includes all foundations, steel framing, industrial systems, medium voltage distribution, process piping and fire protection system design.
GSE partnered with White-Spunner Construction, Inc. to provide three new buildings to support Chevron's new $1.4B Pascagoula Base Oil Project (PBOP) expansion. The Learning and Performance Center (LPC) is 19,700 square feet in two connected buildings, the Training building and the Hands-On building.
GSE partnered with The Austin Company for the main design package awarded for Airbus' first assembly line in the Western Hemisphere. The design package included the Final Assembly Line building (FAL), the Service Building and the Logistics Center. The GSE specific scope includes all foundations, industrial systems, medium voltage distribution and fire protection system design.
