Lobos Del Mar is a family run Fair Trade Clothing company aimed at creating awareness in our fast paced consumer society. We work hard to build a bridge between the indigenous families in Oaxaca and Central America to our own people in the United States through our clothing design and distribution.
By creating this connection, we are not only helping these indigenous families to thrive, but we are also reminding Americans of the beauty and soul which comes along with clothing that is hand made with love, pride, and honor. We hope that we can influence others to follow our direction looking outside the box, erasing boundaries, and coming to terms with the fact that we are all here on one earth, sharing it together.

Ana and Sol, simply the backbone of Lobos Del Mar. Based out of the legendary Puebla of Teotitlan de Valle, they come from generations of the renowned ancient Zapoteca "Tepete" hand loomed carpet weavers! Along with being amazing weavers. Celestino is one of the premier rug makers in the small "rug making" town of Teotitlan Devalle which lies on the outskirts of Oaxaca City.

What a treasure this store is! The owners have done an incredible job of making the store feel as if you are in Mexico! Every item in the store has been hand selected from the talented Mexicans. I love that it is fair trade. The owners have personal relationships with all of the artists. I have bought several items from the store and have found the quality to be very impressive. I could visit the store frequently if I lived closer. I love the feeling of being in Mexico in Nevada City. Kudos to the hard work that the owners have done with their love of community!

Oh my I can’t say enough about this store! Not only is it arranged beautifully but so many unique gifts. Extremely knowledgeable and really friendly staff that made me feel comfortable, safe and welcomed. I also learned that I am supporting artisans that make these unique objects of art from clothing to pottery to jewelry. I will be back again and again!!

Such wonderful items that are thoughtfully sourced! The owners are so lovely and truly care about the communities that they’re involved with. Couldn’t recommend shopping here more! I’m also glad they’re taking the precautions with COVID seriously. It’s a way to make everyone feel safer while getting back to daily life

I love this store . The personal care that goes into absolutely every detail is amazing . The friendly staff that so graciously shared the stories of the people that make the art made my experience an educational experience as well as rewarding me with pieces that I will treasure for years to come .

The owners and staff of this store are some of the most kind, considerate, well-traveled, cultured people I've ever known with the MOST amazing artisan designed arts, crafts, and textiles. I've visited their stores and also proudly placed them front and center of some of the most prestigious music events on the West Coast such as Monterey Jazz where their booth is the heartbeat. It's truly sad and pathetic that some small minded couldn't have enough respect to leave a private business that wants to keep their customers safe, regardless of their religious beliefs. I consider religion to teach compassion

I have several blankets and article of clothing that I have purchased over the years and the quality is impeccable.
Walking into the shop takes me right back to Oaxaca. The love for the families that Kurt the owner supports is so apparent when you walk in the store.
Amazing people doing amazing work!

I love this store and the have never had a bad experience in it. They have very cool and unique merchandise that make great gifts for friends and family, or just a nice little treat for yourself. Love the shop and the owners. I miss the Placerville shop, but am really happy for the excuse to go to Nevada City. What fun destination.

Lobos del Mar is a small tienda found on BroadStreet in Nevada City, CA. This store is filled with a diverse selection of Mexican ceramics, pottery, small woven rugs, colorful panchos, handmade jewelry, hand woven huaraches, artistic tiles, colorful papel picado, and so much more. The racks along the walls display an array of pants, skirts, and tops...all with a Latino flair. And their eclectic window display is actually what drew me into this shop. This is a great place to shop and the vibe is good. You ought to check it out.
