I was tired of being under Amerigas' tyranny. They own the tank and are exclusive to providing propane. A neighbor bought his own tank and left Amerigas. He was pleased with the change, so I took the plunge. I purchased a tank from Salem Propane and kicked Amerigas to the curb. The propane prices have been approximately 1/2 of what Amerigas charges. Amerigas would make me wait sometimes 2 weeks for delivery. Amerigas also wanted to charge me for tank removal when they didn't bill my neighbor for that.I called Salem Propane at 3pm on Monday and they were in the driveway at 9:30
