We started our fireplace company in Wichita, KS over 20 yrs ago. Wanting to be closer to our kids and grandkids, we relocated to the Colorado Springs area in 2013. Our company started out as a hobby for Russ 23 yrs ago, but has quickly morphed into a full time endeavor because of his troubleshooting skills.
He is the go to guy in Southern Colorado to fix most any fireplace, stove, pellet stove or fire pit. Russ is a stickler for safety, and a great teacher, He will take the time to explain how to use your gas fireplace or stove, and how to build a healthy hot wood fire that draws well. Shelly, runs the office and will set up your appointment and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

I've worked with Russ and Shelly in the past in the fireplace, stove, and gas log business. Honestly, it's hard to find better people than them! They are hard working, creative, honest, and hard working people. I HIGHLY suggest that you hire them for any of your fireplace needs! I cannot recommend them enough!
A standing pilot is a small flame that stays on all the time in your fireplace. When you flip the switch on the wall or push your remote button it sparks the thermopile which connects with the pilot and the burner comes on. High winds can blow a pilot out. We here in Colorado have 17% air added to our gas lines to keep a flame going.

Russ is wonderful. He is a miracle worker. I had recently done a large renovation and my fireplace got really beat up. The fireplace wasn’t working at the end of the renovation. He diagnosed what was wrong and he painted the fireplace to look brand new! He did an amazing job!!! He is so clean in his process as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants an expert job done.

Russ was professional, informative, patient, and helped me with any concerns - I was clueless about our gas fireplace in our new home but now I feel so much better about maintaining it. He was also able to install a blower and remote while servicing the fireplace and I couldn't be happier! Thanks, fireplace pros!

We had bought our home last fall. I knew nothing about gas fireplaces but could tell it wasn't working right. Russ came out, cleaned it up, made sure it was safe and made it work better all for a fair price. He was thorough and you can tell he knows his stuff. I appreciate the prompt, quality service!

We purchased a linear electric fireplace unit through Fireplace Pros and had them install it in front of our existing wood burning fireplace that we had only used a handful of times. We wanted to keep the existing fireplace as an option in case we decide to sell the house at some point. Russ created a custom surround piece and painted it to match the electric unit’s trim. It looks fantastic.
Unfortunately, we had issues only a few days later with a faulty part inside the unit. It was obviously still under warranty and thankfully Russ was persistent with the manufacturer but it still took awhile
