With MECO's "Customer Grid Supply Plus" (CGS+) program, the solar PV system sends all excess energy back to the grid, after powering the loads in your house and charging your battery, if you have one. You receive credits for the energy you send back to the grid at a rate of 12.17 cents per kwh. After that date, this credit rate is subject to change, which is why a battery will maximize your savings.

We contacted multiple PV installers about getting a system set up at our house and Maui Solar was the only one that made it a point to actually come out and take a look at the property and discuss our needs before putting together a proposal, which we really appreciated.
They were quick to respond to any inquiries, and when they said work would be done by a certain date the work was done usually in advance of that date.

When I first moved here in 2013 I contracted with Pacific Energy to install solar on my condominium. They did such a great job that when I sold my condominium and purchased a house in 2020 I called them again. They continue to be a professional and reliable company. They focus on customer service and make the tedious paperwork process as easy as it can be. The installation went smoothly and was completed on time. Daryl was such a pleasure to work with! He was very responsive and handled everything in a very professional manner. Even when something went wrong with a faulty inverter, he came out the same day to troubleshoot and had it replaced the next day! I would highly recommend him for all your solar needs!
