Injector: Rice Environmental utilizes a combination of chemistry, proprietary equipment and manpower to meet project objectives. Upon completing site-specific design and fabrication, Rice can provide optimal mixing and stabilization performance. For in-situ applications, we employ two injector systems and one rotary system for shallower mixing.

Description: A large chemical manufacturer in Alabama constructed a new wastewater treatment facility for treating all wastewaters and storm waters prior to discharge. As part of the construction program, several lagoons used in the previous treatment system were closed. The lagoons contained varying amounts of VOC and SVOC impacted liquids, semi-solids and underlying clay liner material.
Description: An oil refinery in west central Pennsylvania produced an acidic sludge from processing lubricating oil. The process used sulfuric acid and clay to remove impurities from raw materials; and the resulting sludge consisted of asphaltic sludge, clay, and sulfuric acid. For more than forty years this acidic sludge was deposited in excavations from an old strip mine.
