Bringing Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to our Evansville & Tri State area is very exciting for me and a great opportunity to share the many benefits of this ancient yet time proven body of medicine with my community. It is effective at so much more than pain! Charlene has been involved in healthcare for over 40 years.
For thousands of years Acupuncture and Chinese medicine was the primary treatment option for health and wellness for millions of people worldwide. Acupuncture works with your body's vital energy or Qi. Therefore it allows your body to use its own energy or "Qi" to heal itself without the use of outside drugs and surgery.
Almost everyone has heard of acupuncture but most people have many questions. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive, complete body of medicine. It has been used for over 3000 years. Not only is it still standing it is now the most requested treatment outside traditional biomedicine in the USA.
This is an important first question to ask anyone before they perform acupuncture on you! All too frequently consumers are led to believe that any practitioner who is trained or certified to practice acupuncture is highly qualified in the art of diagnosis and treatment using the principles of Chinese Medicine.
Gathering this information enables the practitioner to effectively diagnose and detect any specific imbalances of Qi that may have contributed to a persons health problems. Words can hardly express what Charlene and acupuncture have done for me. After struggling my entire life with severe anxiety, depression and PTSD, and so many years of going to therapists, trying every medication suggested, even self medicating, I was literally giving up. Upon seeing a new doctor, who confessed he had struggled in the past with similar issues, he suggested I try acupuncture as he had. I went to the Center with a load of pain problems. Taking medication from several doctors for my different ailments is something I would much rather avoid. Each medicine might contradict with the other and that only makes my problems more complicated. Then, someone told me about the Accupuncture Center of Evansville. I decided to give it a try.
Charlene did wonders for me. My swollen wrist (due to arthritis) is back to normal again. What a relief!
Charlene also treated my extremely stiff neck. I can now move my head easily and get on with my daily routine without fearing the pains.
